Hey everyone!
So there seems to be a little battle going on with some skincare right now. When it comes to exfoliating your skin what do you use? I've always used a charcoal scrub but I'm going to try baking soda! What do you guys like to use? And if it isn't either of these ingredients what's your favorite exfoliating product?

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure baking soda is too harsh for your skin.

You shouldn't use baking soda on the skin, it's damaging. I've been using the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel to exfoliate and I've been loving it, it's super gentle but very effective (:

No. You should aim for skin products with a pH of 5-6 and baking soda is an alkaline, it is too basic for the skin. Plus I could imagine how harsh it would be on the skin.

Between the two, charcoal is safer for regular skin use. But I have to agree with Alexis, that Boscia peel gel is amazing! I also like the Mizon AHA 8% Peeling Serum as a chemical exfoliator, it's super gentle, and the applicator is super unique! I've never had anything dispense the perfect amount of product like this.

Idk why people seem to speak of Baking Soda as a big bad guy. It is found in many beuaty products but of course, in moderation. You can exfoliate with baking soda, but be gentle. I'd suggest maybe mixing it with some honey so it wouldn't be as harsh.
Another great exfoliation method is honey and raw oats (:.
I also love brown sugar and honey. I'd suggest exfoliating twice a week and see how your face reacts.

I no longer use a specific exfoliating product. I use a Yes To Tomatoes facial cleanser that has a slight exfoliaying property to it and then I use a green tea konjac sponge and I use those 2 thinvs morning and night to get a gentle exfoliation throughout the day. I also use a AHA moisturizer which also helps my face shed dead skin.
