It's not that I have a certain kind of skin type and can't find a good cleanser, it's that I don't have one at the moment. I've been using hand soap for my face cleanser and I would really like to know what you guys use. I don't want something super expensive, just something that gets makeup off and cleans my face. Thank You!!

MY HOLY GRAIL!
You will LOVE this product! Gets EVERY bit of my makeup off and leave my skin feeling fresh!

What's your skin type? Any problem areas you'd specifically like to target?

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser if you are on the normal to dry side. Cetaphil Facial Cleanser if you are oily.

I have always been using Purity by Philosophy for years now. I have dry skin and it doesn't bug me. I only use small amount and it lasted long. It removes stubborn makeup. It's not expensive and not harming in my opinion.

Cetaphil!! keeps me clear and its a beauty bar kind of like dove or olay. this means it doesn't have the animal fat that leaves soap scum on your skin. cetaphil also I'd it has perfume its very very very very mild

I second the FAB Cleanser! It gets everything off my face and even cleared up my acne.

Clinique Take the Day Off Balm!! Holy grail, CANNOT function without it. It's a (soft) solid, you rub it onto dry skin and it melts your makeup off. Rinses clean. It gets everything. You can follow up with another face cleanser to actually clean your face but I usually don't I just stop at removing make up and it has worked fine for me for the last two years. It's $30, but it will last you 9-12 months!!

Peter Thomas Roth peeling gel is amazing!! You apply it to your skin (dry) and as you remove it you see dead skin cells peel off your face. It may sound gross but it really helps exfoliate your skin and your makeup applies nicely afterwards:)

V. Basic and gets the job done for combination/normal skin: Neutrogena Naturals Facial Cleanser and makeup remover, all in one without stupid crap in it. Gentle enough to get right in your eyes, but also gets the grease off. Don't go too ham if you have normal skin. Please don't use regular soap though, it makes me want to cry 😢 bc its sooooo bad for the skin. It's super alkaline (high pH) and that destroys your skin's natural acid mantle. Anyone who says facewash needs to be basic (high pH) to be effective is a liar. Also, avoid things that foam. Agree with above poster about First Aid Beauty cleanser, it's a good one! I would only recommend a balm or cream type as a first step cleanse, followed by a true cleanser. Balm alone can leave too much residue. (I'm a skincare consultant, if that makes me sound less zealous 😁)

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. It's non-foaming, and works great for pretty much all skin types, though recommended for combination skin.
