So lately I haven't been wearing ANY makeup! None! And I thought that alone for awhile would mean like no acne because my face is clean, but I've been getting them on my ears, under the hair line , forehead & eyebrow area. Is there anything that can help? Just about a month ago, I didn't wear makeup for 2 weeks and my skin was very clear!

Oh & is there any way to get rid of black heads? I have them 24/7 on my nose and I absolutely hate it!

What's your skin type, skincare routine, and what products are you using?

I have dry , oily skin. I usually put lotion on once in awhile and when I take my makeup off I use soap and water to wash my face and then I'm done. I use Stila Aqua Glow foundation serum & that's it.

I mean that's the foundation I mostly use.

You need a proper skincare routine.

I highly suggest the Origins Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash, it's for combo skin so it won't make your dryness anymore dry or your oiliness anymore oily; it's my holy grail cleanser.

For toner I use the No7 Beautiful Skin Toner for Normal/Oily skin but I'm sure they make a combo one as well.

For moisturizer I like The Body Shop Vitamin C Moisturizer.

To remove makeup I suggest the Garnier SkinActive Charcoal Wipes or The Body Shop Sumptuous Camomile Cleansing Butter.

At night I use the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel, another holy grail product of mine that I highly recommend for exfoliating.

If you want products that are less expensive I would check into Clearasil or Biore. The best toner is witch hazel. These products cleared up my skin in less than a week.

I'm going to disagree with Jane, nothing can get rid of acne overnight and some of those DIYs I wouldn't recommend as they could damage the skin. Just use proper skincare.

There's also the option of going to the dermatologist. Most of the time acne is hormonal in younger age groups. A doctor could describe you a topical medication usually applied in the morning and night time.

Yeah that's true Em, I'll look in to it.

I've had horrific acne since the age of 11 so I know your pain! I've tried so many things over the years but the best products I've found that help me is the body shop tea tree range, it's fantastic and is a decent price. My skins never been clearer!

I have hereditary acne, from my dad's side of the family, and I've struggled with it since I was 7. So I you may be able to imagine I've used a lot of products and have a very strict routine, largely because I didn't want prescription pills and topical creams. I'm now 16, and just finally found a balance that's beginning to work for me. Our insurance provider didn't dean my acne as severe enough to see a dermatologist (and we couldn't afford to do it our of pocket) so my mom opted to get a membership with message envy. So for almost 3 years now I go in every month to see a therapist and get an hour long facial, and advice on products and how to mixup my routine for my face. The Murad products they use and sell aren't cheap but we always shopped in store and online sales to make it work.
