Hey guys! I need help. I have dry skin and I need a something natural that will moisturize my skin. I've heard honey, coconut and almond oil work but I'm not sure how it'll work on my face. Help pleasee, thank you!

I used to have very dry skin, I also started hearing about coconut oil. I started using it and I broke out just a little more than I usually do but I kept using it anyways, I used it as a moisturizer before bed and I'd also use it to take off my makeup and it's been about a year and my face is so smooth. I definitely recommend😊 Hope this helps.

I like jojoba oil and maracuja oil - they absorb quickly into the skin if you use a small amount

I LOVE olive oil. It keeps me super moisturized and helps with acne. It also helps soften your lips; Italian Beauty Secret.

Olive oil, avocado and argan oil are nice.
Just make sure you apply it to damp skin.
Oils aren't moisturizers but they help to keep moisture locked in.
Moisture=water.
Oils do not equal moisture.
They work by "locking in" the water and keeping it on the surface of your skin to keep it, moisturized. If an oil "absorbs" into the skin then the water may have evaporated already
Lighter oils feel nice but they do allow the moisture/water to eventually evaporate.
Heavier oils help lock in the moisture better.
Which is why, petroleum is used in a lot of moisturizers. It locks in about 98% of moisture.
But, natural oils have their benefits for your skin.

Hey aurora I'm curious to know where you get your information from... Because when I think of moisturizing my skin - I don't think of water - it seems the skins natural moisturizer is its own oils - and water dries out your skin - so I don't understand the point of oils locking water into the skin - that just doesn't make any sense to me - of course I'm no expert but I really would like to know where you get your information from in that regard.

Petroleum actually is very toxic for your skin and I have my information right from the EWG website (environmental working group) petroleum literally sits on top of your skin and doesn't get absorbed at all. It is also made up of cancerous chemicals and carcinogens. Very bad stuff!
