Occasional dryness

Perhaps the Studio Sculpt would be best for you. It offers medium buildable coverage.
The other foundations for more dry skin tend to be on the sheer to light coverage range.
As long as you're not overly dry, the studio sculpt should work well

I plan on using full coverage foundation for my clients because the reviews I read said it didn't feel heavy plus it's cream based which I prefer

@Daniel, the Full Coverage is a good product but it's not necessarily hydrating, not as many colors and I'm not sure it's able to be bought on the website if you're not a pro. Not 100% sure about that though because I know that you can buy the pro lipstick shades online now but before you couldn't unless you were a pro member.
If that's the case, you'd have to be in an area with a pro store

If you want true full coverage, the MAC Full Coverage foundation would be the way to go. What's cool about this one is that you can go from sheer to full coverage very very easily. It is an emollient based foundation. I do agree with Aurora that the shade range is more limited. You do not need to be Pro to purchase this foundation on MAC's website. If you get occasional dryness, the Full Coverage would work nicely on your skin. Great staying power, won't crease up and it is water resistant.

If you are on the more consistent and more moderate side of dry, I would go with the Studio Sculpt...Medium build able to full coverage, pretty satin finish. It does have a thicker gel like texture to it, so if you do need to build it up, do so in light layers.  ;)

@Jacqueline, with the Full Coverage have you noticed any flashback when it comes to direct flash?
I noticed their Micronized HD airbrush foundation does that too

Aurora; I can't say that I have noticed any flashback, but then again, I tend to overcompensate by going a half shade darker for front mounted flash. Unfortunately, no matter how technically sound the makeup application is, you get hit with a flash too close to the face it's just going to blow it out, and there's nothing that can be done about that. :(

As to the MAC Micronized HD airbrush foundation, I have never tried it so I can't speak to it. For s/b, I'm a Temptu gal and for w/b it's Kett Hydro for me.

Ahh, okay. I should probably give that a try. I've done quite a few faces with the Full Coverage foundation because I love the formula and look of it but in a decent amount of cases the clients end up having someone they know (usually a family member) take photos for certain events and end up getting a little bit of flashback so I've been using it more as concealer lately.
I'll have to try going a little darker and testing other ways with it myself before using it more on clients again :)
