What makeup do you wear to the beach?

I went to the beach for the first time of the season this past weekend and I forgot what a struggle putting the right makeup on for it can be! I ended up going with a light layer of matte foundation, setting powder, highlight, and mascara.

What do you guys usually put on for a hot day at the beach? Full on glam, natural, or none at all?

Also, any good product recommendations? :)

None at all!! I don't normally wear much makeup in the first place so it's no big deal. Plus there's just something about being in the sun with no makeup on that feels so good and refreshing.

I usually wear a bb or cc cream with spf, cream blush and a highlighter. I also might do bright eyeshadow or liner with lipgloss or mascara and bright pink lips. I end up wearing the most color in the summer. I think it's the perfect time to have fun with it.

Oh. And I love the waterproof eye liners from the sephora brand. They are $10 each and have so many colors!

I'm still looking for a good waterproof mascara I like. like waterproof enough for me to go in the water. I've been meaning to find and try elfs waterproof top coat. and I have to have my brows on no matter what so I use anastasias pomade, set with her clear brow gel and elf brow powder and then more gel. to make them as waterproof as possible. that combo usually does well enough for sweating and maybe splashing around but I have yet to find anything that will last through a full swim. to me having partially filled brows at the end of the day is better than the nothing I start with. I'll also apply a highlighter because I'm highlighter obsessed. Some times I'll wear a light layer of concealer or a bb cream but I don't expect it to really cover and last, just more to make me feel better. I like the ex1 for those days because it feels good on the skin and I favorite anyways. placebo affect and all that lol. sometimes I'll also have a bright lip, lipstick is my weakness. but thats pretty much it. maybe some eyeliner on the waterline. I don't want to be fighting with anything else that I know will turn into a hassle. I look forward to the day science takes us to the point that all makeup is waterproof and we can be drag queen level divas on the beach with no fear, no matter how wrinkly I'll be by then. *deep sigh*

I'll wear moisturizer with SPF and Chapstick. I don't find makeup necessary for the beach lol.

None! at much I would wear some lip balm with SPF but that would be skincare, not makeup :) I find it uncomfortable to wear makeup, you can't play with water, too much sweat and need to reapply.

I usually wear just some tinted lip balm so I get some colour and moisturization

Last time I went to the beach, definitely did not wear a mascara cause sometimes even though it's waterproof it's quite risky, so I just didn't apply them haha. I did wear a cream blush and applied a tinted lip balm as well like Madison did. 😊 also applied a BB cream with SPF, just a light one. 😊

Concealer, waterproof mascara, a little blush just to add some color and lip balm.

Bb or cc cream with SPF, waterproof concealer (by MUFE), waterproof mascara and a lip balm stain - very minimal because if you plan to get your face wet it's not going to look good with a full face - but I usually don't do that or get my hair wet especially if I'm going to be walking around town the rest of the day and seeing the sights

Always wear sunblock
even thought that's more of a skincare thing

I normally wear something like the Studio Fix Powder since it's quick but since the Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation holds up quite well I may try that for when I go to the beach.

I also, normally would wear a lipstick but I would use it to make more of a stain on my lips. I'd use a bright color on my way to the beach and then wipe it off to leave that stain plus some lip balm

Then, I'd wear some waterproof eyeliner

I used to LOVE Estée Lauder self tinting moisturizer it self adjusted to your skin and was just the right amount of color not heavy at all but now I feel like it's too bare faced for me as I'm used to my heavier makeup foundations lol I will be trying out again and also a good BB cream with spf... A light summer color eye shadow, A good water proof eye liner and some Nars bronzer in Laguna and I just bought a lip balm with a hint of color and spf 15 from Sephora called Sephora Rouge balm and I absolutely love it and it will definitely be in my beach bag!

I try to stay away from mascara but if I do a good waterproof one would help.. I keep thinking about this poor girl I saw at the beach with her bf and she had major raccoon eyes the whole time n it kept getting worse and no one said anything to get not even her friends around her so I assumed she acknowledged it and didn't care lol so I also did have a supposedly waterproof eyeliner one time I forgot which one and was with my family n hubby and when I looked in my little beach bag mirror I saw black underneath and was like hey! I didn't tell me I had black all over under my eye!? - "oh yeh I didn't see it!" -Lol ahh men!!

I usually go ahead and do a considerable amount of makeup (Foundation, powder, eyeliner, lips, etc.) although I do stay away from products that slide or wear off easily to ensure optimal results (The last thing I want to happen is for my 20 minutes applying it to be wasted, lol!). With that being said, I also stick to using products that I know have a long wear time, such as the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer complete with a mattifying powder. A really important tip to keep your makeup lasting as well is to blot the water off your face instead of swiping it (that is, if you are in the ocean). Hope this helps! :)
