What's your skincare routine and what products are you using? Have you started using any new makeup or skincare?

I exfoliate 2/3 times a week at night then wash my face , and put toner on a moisturise and all of that and in the morning I just wash my face and and moisturise I'm using the simple skin care, I've used them before and they worked we'll, I haven't really used anything new, actually I have used a simple face wash but this was after I had all these break puts and the face wash has worked okay on me before I haven't worn makeup only mascara so I'm not really sure nkt sure if this has helped

Susana, have you seen a skin doctor or are you on any medication, such as birth control?

I see you say you use the "Simple" wash, but I don't see what product you are using to exfoliate with...or if you using toner. Especially noticeable is the absence of any acne-fighting products.

I don't know which "Simple" wash you are using, but the one I know of has some seriously irritating ingredients for not only those with acne, but sensitive skin. If it's fragrant, it won't do you any favors. It will actively worsen your irritation and breakouts. It's time to start reading labels, hun, and look for anything that might cause irritation, such as fragrant oils, scents, drying alcohols..even some levels of witch hazel can be irritants to certain skin.

From first glance, this appears hormonal to me. Hormonal acne needs to be treated often from the inside out, which means antibiotics that target the bacteria occurring natural within the body. Sometimes, birth control will bring on or actually correct hormonal breakouts. Pulling back on hormonal laden foods such as dairy and reducing meat intake can also make a difference when acne is hormonal. Obviously, certain times of the month can always wreak havoc on skin..as can stress.

To avoid serious scars and to get your the best health possible, I would see a derm. Even if you have save up your cash, invest in a derm visit.

For now, you need to look through your products and remove anything that could bring on irritation. Scents, fragrant oils, drying alcohols, high witch hazel content (this includes spritzes or setting sprays for the face) and use a gentle, non-scented, cleanser for your face. I would alternate with CeraVe or Cetaphil and then, a wash with tea tree or a salicylic acid. Tone, with something gentle and then spot treat..and be sure to use light moisturizer that is free from mineral oil or waxes..anything too thick that can potentially clog pores. (This includes primers with mineral oil)

I'd use only a damp, cotton washcloth to exfoliate right now and even then, be very gentle. Some of your acne is burst open and they are now wounds. You need to treat them as such to prevent scarring and to promote healing.

A BHA such as Paula's Choice (ideally, I'd recommend starting at 1% every; third day) should make a big difference, as well as adding one of her acne-friendly toners to your routine. I think for acne and some anti-aging, Paula brings her A game and she is great at non-irritating, affordable formulas.

Does your skin run oily, combo or dry? I have some products that should help, but you need to avoid triggers as much as possible and even physical irritation whenever you can...as well as consult a Derm.

I totally agree with Rozberry that it looks like it might be hormonal acne. I had quite a bit of acne that looked a lot like that. Then I started birth control and it cleared right up. However, birth control doesn't always help with acne, sometimes it will make it worse. It all depends on the person. I would definitely go see a dermatologist for a professional opinion.

On the chin for me when I have pimples it's because of my diet and getting ready to start my period. Since I have insomnia and depression my forehead is horrible with pimples. I suggest to drink lots of water and get more sleep. I also suggest to go talk to your dermatologist and see what they can do for you

Rozbberry the simple face wash I use is the face wash gel it's in a green bottle I think it's called the refreshing gel face wash and the exfoliater I use it the st Ives one the one wjth the green label and in using the lush facial toner tea tree spray ( that's never been a problem ) and I have seen my norm doctor and they've gave me some stuff to try but NONE has worked? And what are some drying alcohol what do I need to be looking for that I need to stay away in the labels more specifically? And I'm on the pill the microgynon 30 pill but I've never had any bad breakouts lie this before a I've been on the pill for years, and thankyou I will look through the labels and look into buying new skin products! I'll be getting a clarisonic in two weeks so I hope that makes some difference and I think it runs combo, sometimes my skin can get super dry but on som days jts an oily mess and thann you so so much girls :) this means a lot! I'll be seeing dermatologist!

Okay...gotcha. I have never seen that wash, but I just peeked at the ingredients and yes, it does not contain anything that would strike me as troublesome. Hurray for that!
Also, great that you are investing in a Clairsonic. I have the original and I love it.
Not sure which St. I've's you are using...but despite I like their products in the bath, I do not find their scrubs to be a good choice as they are often harsh or the pH is an issue. I'd steer clear of scrubs right now as it will worsen any breakouts your currently have.

If it is the Lush Tea Tree Water, then it contains several irritants that I personally avoid in my own skincare. I would switch to another toner. If witch hazel isn't a problem for you, you might want to try "Thayers with aloe". You don't run dry in the way I do and so I suspect you should be okay with witch hazel. (Paula's Choice has amazing toners)
As for drying alcohols, this would be denatured alcohol (alcohol denat), SD Alcohol, Isopropyl...these are the most common, drying alcohols.
They don't effect our skin in the same way that fatty alcohols do...bringing on dryness (or actually increasing skin's protective reaction to create more oil to counter dryness), sometimes itching, stinging, breakouts due to irritation, increasing sun damage, etc...often beneath the skin's superficial layer.

If memory serves, your pill should work in your favor with regard to hormonal acne, but your hormones change over the years; what worked for you for years may suddenly cause an issue and so you can pull back on hormones in your diet a bit, amp up your Omega 3's, B complex, D and Iron..safely through your diet. I'd also alternate drinking a cup of Chamomile with a cup of Green Tea with leaves from Japan (such as Teavana). This naturally helps reduce inflammation and is antifungal and anti-bacterial..so it makes a great splash to let tea bags soak after drinking or to boil a bag or two and let cool, then splash on the face.

I'd stick with a light moisturizer, like CeraVe PM lotion or Cetaphil (if you are avoiding parabens) and ease into my Clairsonic, using a very sensitive brush head. I only use my own Clairsonic 2-3 times a week, as I run very sensitive. It's a very personal thing, but easing in is always a safe bet.

I do think you'd benefit from a BHA like Paula's Choice every 3rd day and from being sure to use a physical, broad spectrum sunscreen. Paula's are excellent as well as her toning products. None should be irritating and many of her products target acne..and do so with great effectiveness.

I'd also avoid thick creams, waxes....cosmetics that tend to clog pores.

I'm glad to hear you plan on seeing a Derm. Don't be afraid to ask many questions..even bringing in a list of concerns or questions with you as well as a list of any products you use or medications you are on. It is easy to get flustered and forget while in the office. I'd also ask if they feel you would benefit from a peel to address your immediate acne concerns. I believe you would, indeed.

Please, keep us posted on your progress and my very best to you.  :)
