So I bought this new lipstick, and I noticed it made my teeth look yellow. Is there anyway I can avoid this, or is the lipstick too dark?

It's because of the undertone of the lipstick, now how dark it is. Since you can't change the undertone of the lipstick there's really nothing you can do.

Ok, thank you

You could try buying a blue liquid lipstick and mixing it with your lipstick. Blue-based cool toned lipsticks make the teeth look whiter

The Estee Edit Flash Photo Gloss is supposed to help with this. It can be used alone or on top of whatever lip produxt you're using.

I have the same problem. I only get cool toned lipstick and that helps.

I would go to a drugstore and pick up the "5-minute whitening gel" I think that's the name but use it a few times and it'll definitely help.

I never noticed dark lipstick making teeth look yellow.
For me, my teeth only looked yellow when I wore pale blue toned lipsticks. Like lavender or pastel pink(Saint Germain, which has a lilac hue due to the blue undertones)
The purpleish hue would contrast and make yellow tones more noticeable.

I think, it depends on your undertone. If you have yellow tones then your teeth may have a slight yellow undertone.
If you're pink toned, the teeth can be a greyish hue.

If a yellow toned person with yellow toned teeth wore a warm color like.. Orange it would make their teeth look whiter since the yellow in the orange would be more of a true yellow rather than an undertone.

People with pink tones tend to have white looking teeth when they use blue based shades
But if the color is darker than the undertone doesn't matter so much/doesn't make it look any more yellow or white in most cases
