Has anyone tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks? if so, what's your opinion on them? are they worth buying? or are any of the other brands of liquid lipstick good?

I've always used lipstick and I rarely use lipgloss because I don't like the glossy look. do liquid lipsticks set as a lipstick or are they glossy? I can never really tell from the swatches

I have Crush and Soft lilac and I love both shades. I've only ever tried abh liquid lipsticks so I can't say if there are better out there. They set with a matte finish and are obviously more drying than normal lipsticks but not terribly so. They last well on me as long as I don't eat oily foods.

Yes they are worth to buy... I have a few of them and they are so pigmented and they last a long time... the only thing,, it is better to apply a little bit... not a lot of product!!

I've tried one awhile ago. They are ok. They are very drying to me but that was really the only thing I didn't like about them. Yes, they do set. They will eventually dry down to a completely matte finish.

I prefer the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid lips, Dose of Colors, or the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks myself but the ABH definitely aren't a terrible formula by any means. :)

Liquid lipsticks differ by formula. some stay glossy, some dry down flat matte, some are just like a mushed up lipstick in a tube (Nyx soft mattes or even ofra) and some (really most) are like actual paint for your lips. some are matte, some are satin, the formulas of liquid lipsticks differ just as much if not more than the different kinds of traditional lipsticks just depending on the brand and what not. I've tried quite a few brands and I have actually stopped being interested in regular lipsticks because I like liquids so much better. I'm really not a fan of anastasias though. they aren't horrible but they aren't up to par with the other 18-20$ brands I have. they don't last very long on me compared to others, I usually only get 1-3 hours of wear before I have to reapply. they are super dry even compared to others, I know that you should expect some drying with a liquid to matte or really any matte lip product. But they also flake off in crumbles and they leave me with a wierd white crust on my inner lip. they layer and reapply OK but not well. I can definitely feel them gunk up on my lips when I need to touch up. with that being said, they have some beautiful colors and again they aren't horrible. they do dry down matte, they don't bleed or smudge, and they do transfer but not a lot. like I'll only get a ring of color from my outer lip. if they were like 6-10$ is feel like giving them a lot more praise. but because of the price I'm more inclined to compare them to others like jeffree star, Kat von d, stila, and makeup monster (though those are 15$, it's still the same price range in my mind)

I like Anastasia myself. Anastasia and Stila are probably my favorites for liquid lippies. I love Kat's but they usually end up drying me out more:/

I've tried out quite a few ABH liquid lipsticks. Good colour payoff and the liquid dries down to matte finish. They are a bit too dry for me and some shades looked cracked on my lips after about 4 hours of wear. Solved that problem by applying a hydrating lip primer underneath. It did take away a bit from the longegivity. The ABH was easier to rub off during the course of the day. But I prefer the look I get with the lip primer than without; much more flattering + nice smooth lips.

And just like Ariana said, a little bit goes a long way!
