With my new hair transformation coming up (hopefully soon, hurry up taxes!) I'm thinking I'll want to experiment with lighter eyebrows. I don't think my brows are particularly dark, they're not black, but I'm not sure what makeup products or techniques to use to make my brows look lighter. I was thinking just a blonde/very light colored brow gel but I'm not sure if that by itself will work.

I don't want to bleach or do anything to permanently lighten my brows, I want to have the option of lighter brows when I feel like it/when I feel that it better suits a certain makeup look.

Any product suggestions or techniques would be greatly appreciated!

Try out the Anastasia dip brow they have lighter colors you could try but don't go too much lighter from your natural eyebrow color because it will be noticeable just take a light hand!!

Actually I found an eyebrow mascara/gel thingy at a Japanese makeup & skincare store when I was in the US this summer. I'm not at home at the moment but I can show you what it looks like and how it works. It's a lot more covering than Western eyebrow gels because a lot of people in Asia love to lighten their hair and have a less permanent way of lightening their brows!
I found it in Japan Town in SF but I'm sure that you can find it in your local area too!

Thanks, Alexis (:

Thank you, Breeze! I'm sure I'll be able to find it somewhere with a little googling (:

I use an amazing brow gel to lighten my brows. I have to dye them too dark to cover some - ahem - grays, so I use the gel to lighten them up. I've looked all over for a good gel, but, surprisingly, they're hard to find. Anastasia has one, but it's shimmery (?)
I use one by Damone Roberts. I believe you can get it online in his website, but it may be pricey. You can look it up. I love it!!

I have quite dark brown hair and there for eyebrows too. I like to use the benefit gimme brow in the lightest color. It just makes them look super soft yet still fills in sparse areas. But overall I would suggest using just a light brow gel because it won't look like your trying to fill them in a different color, it will actually color your individual hairs a lighter color, and won't look as obvious. :)

Sometimes when I forget to bleach mine, I use a spoolie and brush in something like paint pot (I use soft ochre) Then I go ahead and use a tinted brow gel In taupe and just brush it over.

I focus the paint pot more where the brow starts and keep it a little darker at the tail.
I find that this technique works pretty good. It doesn't make my brows as light as I'd like (mostly cause my brows are black and my hair is platinum so an actual taupe looks better)
It makes them a light/medium brown color

When I do pastel brows I have to cover my dark eyebrows and I do what Aurora does but I use mufe flash palette instead. But using a cream product with a spooly gets it coated all over the hairs on all sides rather than just the top. I believe nyx has eyebrow pomande you could try it out with. Or a paint pot like Aurora.

This is the result on one eyebrow!
Obviously it looks hilarious on me... My brows are black or almost black and quite thick, so I had to "get in there" :/ lol

But the color can build up even more when layered, this is one coat. It does its job!
I usually use this on my mother who is blonde!
