Matte nail polish help.

Hi guys so what I've noticed is that whenever I do my nails with a matte top coat on it a couple hours later, or whenever I wake up, it's almost as if the matte finish has almost like receded from the edge? I'm not really sure how to describe it but the picture shows what I'm talking about. I'm not really sure why it does this, maybe it's the brand I'm using or whatever, but this has happened multiple times and I get really frustrated because I like for my nails to be perfect. I'd rather not just paint the tips with polish again because when I've done that in the past I've found that there's like a little bump at the end which I don't like so my solution is usually to just carefully cut the tips of my nails off and hope for the best. Anyway sorry this is really long but I was hoping that someone could tell me why this is happening, and how I can not get it to happen again in the future. Thanks in advanced ❤️

If I were you I would make sure to focus around the tips and edges when you are doing matte and if it still comes off, I would try a new matte nail polish.

Or how about you try matte nail polishes intead of matte top coat? Inglot's O2M line had some nice mattes, why not try those?

Matte polishes are known to have this issue,whether it is just a top coat or a color. I recommend sealing the tips of your nails with the top coat. By this I mean running the polish over the very edge of your nails when you apply to the first coat. This prevents shrinking, which is what you are currently experiencing. What polish are you using? I recommend nyc matte me crazy matte top coat. I have tested all the major matte top coats, both drugstore and highend, and the one I mentioned was the best overall polish. It is only two or three dollars, and outperformed polishes by essie and formula x.
