Hey girls! I'm turning 19 soon (and need my hair cut anyway), so I'm thinking about spending actual money on my hair this time around! I have very thick, dull, frizzy hair that when shorter curls into ringlets and waves. I also have dry scalp issues. What kind of services can I ask the stylist for that will give my hair more luster and help (semi) permenently tame the frizz?

This and my profile picture pretty accurately show the texture of my hair, but both of these were right after haircuts so it's a lot longer, frizzier and more dull now!

With the haircut, I'd recommend asking them for a scalp treatment as well as a deep condition. The scalp treatment will get rid of any dry skin, and residues from product that may be built up on your scalp. Depending on what products your salon of choice may have, there are deep conditioners that will penetrate inside the hair for added moisture.

I'm familiar with using the one by Redken and it is called a Chemistry Shot, they have a couple different ones to choose from.
Apart from the salon, it's always important to maintain hair care at home as well. If you haven't tried it already, a coconut oil hair mask weekly will help prevent frizz as well as damage. Good luck with your salon visit 💕 every woman deserves it
