Hello :) I'd like to try out the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+. Can't find many reviews on colour matching for my Indian skin tone. I think I'd match the shade TAN.

My foundation colour references are the following:
1) MAC Studio Fix NC43.5
2) Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer SX11
3) Natasha Denona Glow #75 (this is the perfect colour match for my skin).

Concealer colour references:
1) MAC Studio Finish NW35 (after colour correcting).

Has anybody tried the TAN shade in the CC+ Cream? What skin tone/foundation colour matches it?

Yes you'll definitely be TAN. I am NC42 and it's a tad too dark but I make it work, and Medium is way too light so that should definitely work on you :)

I use the tan. It's a teeny bit too dark for me, but I pretty much use it as a 'base coat' before I apply my foundation so it all works out in the end!

Do you use the studio fix powder?
I've never heard of the Shade NC43.5
But if it is the powder then keep in mind that the powders tend to run lighter than the liquids in general.
Also, the inbetween shades like NC37 and NC43 are a little lighter/less golden.
For example, NC37 is less golden and a tad lighter than NC35 and may even be a tad lighter than NC30
NC43 is lighter/less golden than NC42

With that in mind, you may actually be find that Tan is too dark and medium is too light. You'd probably need to get one and add a drop or two of a lighter or darker shade for it to match better

@Jacqueline, I'm thinking maybe they only sell the NC43.5 in South Asia?
I've seen NC43 but not the NC43.5
I know they have the Lightful powder foundation which is only available in Asia so I wouldn't be too surprised if the half shades are more available in a certain area.

As far as the studio fix powder I find that not all the C shades are olive.
I notice that the C shades with a single digit(C2, C3, C4 etc) are yellow based with a tiny bit of pink so they look a bit peach

whereas
C shades with double digits (C30, C35, C40) are yellow based with a little bit of green and are actually olive.

At least that's what I've noticed on me, the C# looked pink on me and the C## matched a lot better.
I find that the NC shades aren't that consistent in the studio fix powder, some having more beige than yellow and vise versa so people who are like an NC25 that try C3 find that the C3 is more yellow

I noticed that the C shades in the Studio Fix fluid even look a tad pink compared to the NC shades

Hi Aurora + Jacqueline :) appreciate your detailed responses and the swatch comparison picture.

Yes, the NC 43.5 was initially created by MAC in collaboration with Mickey Contractor for a limited collection in South Asia - there were several foundation shades brought out to cater for Indian and Middle-Eastern skin tones. My shade NC 43.5 is available in both the Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation compact and the Studio Fix Fluid formulation. I've attached pictures from my local MAC Online Store. I actually live in Africa 😊 I think MAC has recently been bringing out more foundation shades here to accurately reflect the various skin tones in my country.

Jacqueline, the Tan IT CC Cream shade seems workable with my skin when comparing it to the ND Glow #75. I stopped using my MAC foundations since I wasn't happy with the way the products were "sitting on top" of my skin. It wasn't working anymore. The KA SSE SX11, love the coverage and I was able to work with the product easily into my skin. It became my HG foundation despite being a hint too yellow toned. But since discovering the ND Glow #75, I love how it just naturally blends into my skin.

My only reason for wanting to get the IT CC Cream is that there are days when I'm running late for work and I need to cut short my morning make-up routine and over weekends, I want a more relaxed quicker/easier coverage routine. I also work weekends and occasionally go into work in the middle of the night. So need something that I can put on quickly without having to think of all my usual layers of moisturizer, conceal, etc. If I don't wear some form of coverage, I just look exhausted (genetics of dark under eye circles). I also have a lot of hyperpigmentation, so prefer to have it covered/toned down - don't like leaving the house with a bare face.

The ND Glow foundation is quick and easy to apply but I still need to conceal and colour correct. Plus, there are those days where I may not feel like the need to "glow" and just want a matte look.

I did email the Beautylish Team and they have always been excellent with their product advise. I think my email must've gotten overlooked hence I thought I'd try see what advise came up under the community forum  🙂
