This might seem like a dumb question but I really don't know.
I have oily skin and currently use Estée Lauder double wear. I love this foundation because it covers all my dark spots and stays on me all day. BUT, I've always loved dewy, radiant looking foundations and I don't feel like I get that with the double wear of course.
So my question is, are they any full coverage foundations that have that dewy look that work for oily skin? I feel like they're always geared toward dry skin but I don't really know. I'm no professional lol.
And I've always had trouble with most foundations staying on my nose no matter how I prime or set, so I have to think about that. I've also never had any luck with cream or liquid hi lighters working in my skin, if that has any connection.
Anyway, thanks in advance!

Have you tried mixing luminzer into the foundation? Or maybe trying a spray such as fix+? I'm not sure about any dewy foundations that are oily skin friendly, much less dewy foundations that are full coverage, but mixing something like Mac Strobe Cream into your foundation can sometimes make it a little less flat and more dewy!

I highly suggest checking out the MAC Strobe Cream! You can apply it just to where you want the extra dew/glow, apply your foundation as usual, and intensify the glow with a powder highlighter. I have normal to oily skin and the Strobe Cream makes my skin look glowy/dewy without making me look like an oil slick (:

I wouldn't. I always hear makeup artists say to use a foundation for your skin type. Esp. oily skinned gals. You may like the look at first, but then your natural oils are going to kick in and turn your face into an oil slick. But you can still achieve a dewy look by adding luminizer to the high points of your face on top of the proper foundation. You can experiment with liquid, cream or powder luminizers. Certain luminizers can actually be worn allover the face unlike more potent highlighters.

If you have a very matte foundation then you could try adding a few drops of a more dewy foundation which gave me a good look. I used the Face&Body by MAC and I didn't need much of it since I do have oily skin so I mixed it with the L'orèal infallible and it gave a very nice healthy dewiness and it didn't smudge off or anything
You could also try adding a TINY amount of coconut oil. It's good for oily skin since coconut oil actually lowers the amount of your skins natural oil and it's lightweight which is why it's been so popular for the skin among southeast Asians even though it's quite hot and humid there (my grandma and aunts always used it)
but still allows that glow/dewiness.
You could try a luminizers which can give a nice effect but just make sure you get one with very very finely milled shimmer

I have also oily skin. and now a days I am wearing bourjois 123 cc cream. I guess its not for oily type skin. but I love this cream. this cream turns my oily skin into glowing skin with even out the skin tone:)
try it , its inexpensive

I would go for a matte foundation if you have oily skin. Oily skin and dewy foundation do not go well in my opinion. It can make you break out more

I'm in the same boat. I have combo skin, more oily in the summer, but I'm not a fan of completely matte foundation. I use a luminating primer and of course lots of highlight!

Thank you guys! Sorry it took forever to get back to you.
I guess I'll stick with my double wear then. See I always wear my powder highlighters, but I've tried a couple of liquid illuminates and they always leave a weird texture to my foundation, whether I applied with fingers, sponge, or brush. Maybe it's just not meant to be haha.
But I will definitely check out the strobe cream and mixing coconut oil or a dewy foundation. I guess this will just be a trial and error thing I'll have to play around with :)

You can set your face with powder after.

What liquid illuminators have you tried with the foundation?
