I recently got the tarte amazion clay foundation and I love it, but I'm looking for a good primer to use with it. I recently got a sample from Sephora of the Benefit Porefessional and the Matte Porefessional and I found that it separates my foundation on my nose and chin. Does anyone recommend anything else?

If you're wanting a pore reducer primer, I'd try the Dr. Brand Pores No More primer. I've been using it and loving it. Sephora sells a travel size of it for $17 I believe, and a little really goes a long way!

Honestly I don't even use a primer with it and find it works great alone - I just set it with the tarte setting powder and KVD setting spray and it lasts all day without the primer and the stuff doesn't clog pores or irritate my sensitive acne prone skin so there really isn't any need for a primer since all a primer does is provide a barrier between your skin and the makeup as well as providing a smooth canvas - but if you have good skincare and a moisturizer underneath that's all you need.

Hailey it seperates after a few hours I apply it because when I first apply it looks flawless but after like 5 hours or more I get oily and that's when I notice my foundation separates. Thank you ladies so much! Do you ladies think it's the setting powder that I use cause I use the Maybelline fit me matte

Breanna your using primer overload with a foundation that already has all ingredients in it. Like Diana mentioned you may not need any primer with this product. When you overload product's it can make the base makeup slide and separate. Especially with pore filer primers they only coat film over the area that is congested then when foundation is on top it won't adhere to the area. Poreless or pore minimizer primers only work if the skin is prepped & clean out to be able to fill in the pore. Read the tarte ingredients it already is set to use over your skin with no added extras. All foundation will eventually need touch ups since natural body heat takes over. :)
