Im searching for a good acne face wash but I can't! When it's a foam it doesn't remove makeup. When it's cream I feel like my oily skin feels heavier. When it's gel it strips my skin and I always get scared using my toner afterwards! I've just been using my boyfriend's dove body and face wash. It does cleans my face well, but I need a effective acne wash.

I suffer from acne and I find that it's better to remove make up with a make up remover or cleanser and then use a face wash. And any facewash should be very gentle so as to not irritate the acne further. I like Simple because it's alcohol/perfume/colour free.

I've tried it and irritated my skin. It caused slot of little white heads all over my face!

In my experience acne specific facewashes don't do anything. Simple is really gentle. I also really like their toner and moisturizer. They have a mattifying moisturizer for oily, acne prone skin as well and I've read really great things about it so I think I'm going to check it out myself! Are you on any medications for your acne?

DDF 10% Glycolic Acid Toner has really help with my scars and oil but not so much on pimples. Sucks!

It depends really. If you actually have acne as opposed to just getting a few pimples every now and then I find that over the counter products don't do anything because they are not getting to the root of the problem. For years I suffered with my skin and going to a dermatologist and getting medication for it is the best decision I ever made with regards to my skin. It's taken about 3 months but for the first time in years I don't have any pimples and my closed comedones and blackheads are gone too. You could perhaps have a consultation with a dermatologist to discuss your skin, possible medications and any concerns you might have.

Clean and clear continuous acne face wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide. It works deep down in skin to get rid of acne instead of on top like salicylic acid! Great feel after too!

Try the body shop tea tree oil line. I don't recommend the exfoliator because it uses apricot seeds and that's really harsh on your skin because it can break it and cause inflammation but other than that I would say use anything else from the tea tree oil line. Before I shower, I use a makeup wipe to remove my makeup as well. I switch up between yes to cucumbers and the simple cleansing wash. They're both very gentle and very effective at removing makeup.

I would say use the tea tree oil line because it's more natural and less abrasive in the skin while still trying to help fight your acne. In the winter, I switch up the moisturizer with the aloe moisturizer which is even more gentle but that's really only if your skin is really that sensitive.
