Oh yes! And they sell refurbished ones with fake brushes as 'new'. Stay away from sellers in Asia and always check seller feedback comments.

Yes, it don't matter where you buy it, I joined this to say I bought one from a Toronto retailer on ebay, the mia 2 its a good fake. I called clarisonic and gave em the number on bottom , they said its a fake cause the Mt 222268A the first 2 numbers is the year made 2022 well we have not got there yet lol, well mine didn't charge up it keeps flashing charging but its been 48 hours that's why I called, I would save your money and look for sales in your area, the clarisonic web site gives you locations for who carrys it and the webpage store sells em, your fake might be cheap, but if the battery catchs fire while your out cause its not a approved battery for sale, you risk your life and your property to save money.

Not to mention, knock offs have lead in there stuff, and you don't know what the hell is in those free sample bottles you get, Also you get a 2 year warranty with a retailer, then a year later spending another 100 bucks cause battery died

I purchased a Mia from Amazon back in Jan of 2013. After 3 months of use, the prongs started to rust. I didn't think much of it and kept using it. I didn't notice a problem until I bought a replacement brush-head from Sephora, and had trouble jamming it into the Mia. That was when I realized I had a fake. I don't have a side-by-side comparison because Amazon was awesome enough to take it back. After 9 months of daily use of the fake one, and finally getting my hands on a real Mia, here are the differences.

Real One:
Prongs - Thinner and lighter in color
Power Button - Lighter touch
Brush head - MUCH softer, more bristles
Magnetic Charge on Handle - Flat
Part that connects the oscillator to the device - Grayish in color

Fake One:
Prongs - Thicker, darker gold, real brushhead does not fit properly so therefore does not oscillate properly.
Power Button - Had to push harder on it, the "click" feels a lot higher
Brush head - Coarse, less bristles, but lasted more than 3 months.
Magnetic Charge on Handle - Round, so therefore, the magnetic charger didn't stay on unless it was strategically placed to get a charge.
Charge light - Never came on to tell me it was running low on battery. I just got into the habit of charging it once a month. It also never stopped flashing even after 24 hours charging.
Part that connects the oscillator to the device - Black
