@Farrah...I've been doing it for two years. I recently had to lay off working out because I was diagnoised with adrenal fatigue. I have a extreme case of it so I was basically banned by trainer and doc to just relax and chill. The stress of trying to juggle a whole lot at once really caught up with me. At the height of it all I was only getting in 4 hours of sleep a night. Not good considering I'm also a mom of three and a full-time college student. Will say this though...to go figure is not for the faint of heart and only a small number of the population can get their body to that point because the genetic make-up already has to be in place. A good friend of mine wanted to go figure but her body just wasn't having that so she had to settle for bikini and she looks smokin' hot. I might have to drop down to bikini for health reasons myself. :( But you should definitely give it a go...I love it when I hear of other gals getting into the sport.
@shelley that's incredible, mum of three, full time student and competing, kudos to you, I don't think there's many women who could do that! I definitely want to go see some competitions, like you said competing is whole different ball game. You should put up pics of you competing- no excuse for none of us to hit the gym!
I never used to tan since im naturally tan and lived in a very sunny place in miami but now i live in a cold place and i feel like i have turned too pale so i just use a gradual indoor self tanner to maintain a nice glow
