I just don't understand how larger breasts improve self esteem. I mean more power to you ladies..but ouch :/ no thanks!

I think that breast implants should b 4 girls that r completely flat chested. Why go to surgery, scars, and pain when having natural descent size boobs. I personally was really, what u call really flat. No size of bra cup what so ever. So I decided 2 get me some small ones "B" and I can say that it made me no more or less of a women, I mean don't get me wrong I'm ok with them but if one day I had to take them off I will. And I will stay w/out them. That's just me other then that do what makes u happy!!!

Oh but one suggestion. If u ever decide 2 do it. Best recommendation do it @ a hospital not at the small surgery centers. Is the worst place to do it because staff including the surgeon contaminates the surgery are and they don't care about that. With hospital is different staff has 2 b more careful because is hospital rules and they r more concerned about getting sue. Believe me when u r under anesthesia u don't know what they do or how they wrk.

ouch, IZA, that is not 100% true of ALL small surgery centers :/ any doctor or surgeoun can be sued over infection due to neglect and most take extreme care and pride in their practices, and many hospitals spread MRSA just as well. Again researching the doctors, their facilities, the methods of procedures is all part of the work one needs to put in when considering cosmetic surgery.

Iza, that is a terribly unfair generalization to make. Plastic surgeons have to be licensed no matter where they practice from and they are held to the same standards as any other doctor or surgeon. The same holds true for all of their staff members. By law they are required to maintain the same safety and sanitation standards as doctors who practice from a hospital. Truth be told, you really don't know how any doctor works. Any doctor is technically capable of doing some shady things, which is why research is so important. But that being said, there is absolutely no reason to say that doctors who practice out of their own surgical centers are don't care about their patients and would willingly cause contamination. It does not matter where a surgeon works, malpractice is malpractice and private surgeons are held just as accountable for their work as those in hospitals.

If you want them, get them.
If you don't want them, don't get them.

You're (well, unless somebody else is offering to pay, which is totally cool too, their money they can do what they want with it) the one paying for it. You can do whatever the hell you want with your body that will make you happier. Nobody 'should' or 'shouldn't' do anything according to somebody else's standards and that's body policing at it's finest, and disgusting. Just make sure you research the finest places and the finest doctors so you can have a safe surgery.

You don't have to have implants for a fuller look, you can get a lift. Just really do your homework.

I have them. Only thing about it is when it comes to buying shirts, if you are kinda busty, it makes you look a little heavier. But I don't regret it bc now they are proportioned. :) DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!!!!

Do whatever makes you happy, you can always wear push up/padded bathing suits and bras, cheaper than implants and nothing risky involved like in surgery

Iza you could not be more wrong. I got mine at a surgery center and like I said I have 2 good friends who also went there and I know other girls as well. It's completely unnecessary to have to go to a hospital. A hospital can be shitty just as easily as surgery center could.

Michelle, wearing padding and pushup bras isnt the same. In any way. Come on now!

I got mine because I WANTED them, for ME. I have kinda wide hips so I felt like I wanted to be a bit more balanced on top. I'm not even huge, I went from a small b to a large c. I love them so much and no padded bra that made me appear to be bigger would give me the same feeling.

God, I am seeing so many untrue statements on this thread!!! Like "when you get old and saggy the implant stays where it is and looks gross" umm first off you can get them taken out if you so choose, but IMO when you're OLD your boobs arent going to look any better than mine just because you don't have implants. You'll be wrinkly old and saggy too. So I'm not seeing your point...

And I don't have problems getting clothes that fit me. Not at all. I don't know where you girls shop but I can't even think of more than once where the top didn't work and that was because it was a tube top that flowed under the bandeau top part, so the top was too small or the flowy part was too big. that's IT.

Ummm let me think that's a bad ideal

Mine are natural and I don't intend to change that, but I think if you believe it will increase your quality of life then you should go for it. Make sure that you do LOTS of research and get the right proportions for your body type.

Personally I am against any plastic surgery. You were given this gorgeous body, why permanently modify it to change how it's shaped? I may be a bit hypocritical however, as I am all for Piercings and tattoos. I am a natural D36 and I want to REDUCE my breast size. They will get in the way an cause problems. It's ridiculous. Please consider that. Make a reasonable decision.

"You were given this gorgeous body, why permanently modify it to change how it's shaped?" Because what is gorgeous to you, may or may not be gorgeous to this person considering implants. We don't have to like what we ended up genetically developing.

You're against permanently modifying your body, but you're for piercings, tattoos & you want a breast reduction? what?

i would never do it. my thing with cosmetic surgery is if its a procedure that you have continue doing or even do periodic follow ups, i would rather not get anything done. i think about what could end up happening in the long run. im sure its a great bra out there for me somewhere.

I have them, and have had for about 2 years now.. I started as not even a 34A and am now a 34DD. My look natural, everyone I have told was like what the he'll you can't even tell. I did a ton of resource before getting mine so I knew what I was in for and I don't regret it at all. It makes me feel confident because my clothes no longer sag in the front and it makes by body much more in proportion as I have big thighs and butt. I say as long as you do research and are doing it for you and not someone else, then why not?

I think they're fine, I had actually been thinking about getting them as well. Just do your research and remember you get what you pay for. :) My mom got them about 10 years ago and honestly it did so much for her confidence, she's so happy with them. I'm really glad she did it because she was always so insecure about her appearance and had told me she felt selfconscious about her 32A chest size since she started puberty. Her's are now between a C and a D cup I believe. They look really natural and she feels so much better about her body.

How much larger to you want to be? The reason I ask, is because I recently had a lumpectomy on both of my breasts and had reconstruction done to fill in the deficient areas. I didnt want implants so I got fat transfer instead. They liposuction fat from one part of you body (or in my case multiple areas) and then inject your own fat into your breasts. There are pros & cons to this procedure. The main one is you can't go to big with a one time procedure. So far 1/2 a cup to 1 cup increase is the average take. But there is no risk of rejection, allergic reaction or capsular contracture. And, once the fat "takes", its permanent. No need to replace implants (which you more than likely have to do down the line, more money, more surgery). It's not for everyone, but it is a great option for those who don't want a foreign body implanted inside you & if you don't want a huge increase.
