I'm 5'4 and 38 years old. My daughter is 5'7 and 14 years old. Its all based on luck of the draw. Can't change the card you have been given but you can definitely give the appearance of looking taller by taking a pilates class at a local gym (if its even offered in your area) or even yoga. The moves in both force you stretch your limbs (back included) which in turn will give you better posture. My daughter hates being 5'6...try buying pants and tops....its a royal pain.
Im fifteen and five ten. I hate it because i look like godzilla when i wear heels, but love it since i play volleyball, where it most definitely comes in handy. Embrace your height, i would kill to be 5'5!
You can gain height into your early 20's. Eat well with vegetable based calcium and quality protein and get lots of sleep. Your body does repairs first so u need protein and minerals for that, after repair and maintenance it will add height if it gets the signal food is plentiful and it gets sufficient calcium. Calcium from vegetables is the best quality and most easily absorbed. Certain vitamins like d help in calcium absorption. You need sufficient sleep at night though. The body can rest in a nap but grows only during the regular sleep cycle when proper nutrients are present. Eat nutrient dense food. Sleep minimum of 8 hours a night. If you can't stay asleep that long exercise more and increase lean protein

Excercise lots. I'd recommend trying the peak 8 program. It helps release human growth hormone so you'll get taller.
