How do you apply as an assistant for a Make-up artist? I'm still in school and actually thinking about being a make-up artist myself. I'm sure being an assistant would give me some double make-up knowledge, getting experience and all for the industry. So how do I start? I'm 17 & I don't know if there's an age that allows you to start. I'm anxious to know your ideas!!
Yeah I've been told the exact same thing. My question is..how do you become an Assistant first. Is it like any other job? Do you go in and ask if they need anyone? Do you have to have experience?
Yeah im guessing it would be like any other job, some places might take you without experience but might not so you could be trying for months. Yes go in there and ask if they need anyone, get more info off them but more chance they would take you on if you have had experience in the industry

Prob not but you would have more knowledge and you would get it easy than someone who wouldn't have as much knowledge
