I agree, your skin naturally repairs itself, what I find helps is if I moisturize a lot because the skin gets rid of dry/flakey areas around the breakout faster that way for me, it should probably be better within a week I think :)

Coconut oil or vitamin e oil will help put moisture back into the skin to balance it as spots can be caused / prolonged by stripping too much natural oil from the skin.
