Make sure you first apply a transition shade to make your eyeshadow blend better! Also watch a lot of youtube videos - I recommend Jaclyn hill!

I wouldn't recommend elf products for beginners. IMO, decent brushes (real techniques even) will make all the difference when applying blending eye shadows. It's not that elf brushes are bad... But definitely easier to use if you know how to apply makeup
