Do you use a base coat? If you do then you should probably change brands because that's usually the problem. Also use a nail strengthener under the base coat like OPI's Nail Envy, I think they even make one specially for the peeling.

I suggest using a base coat on your nails and a nail strengthening polish. They are a little pricey but work well. The same things happens with my nails.

She's talking about the nail itself yall.. Take biotin, it helps tremendously! I used to have bad peeling nails but they don't peel anymore after I've started taking biotin!

Yes Chelsea we know. And she shouldn't be taking biotin unless a doctor specifically recommends it to her.

Hi Kattya M., I do use a base coat but I have recently changed to OPI's Nail Envy and my nails still continue to peel.

Thanks Chelsea N. unfortunately I cannot swallow pills and I have been taking chewable vitamin tablets and it hasn't done anything for my nails. The only thing it has changed is my eyebrow hair growing back quicker.

Our nails often indicate the state of our health and/or habits.
This article provides great tips on natural ways to strengthen your nails by bumping up certain vitamins through meals. Also, nails that are wet often weaken and peel..so if you swim, wash dishes, have then in the bath water for an extended period..these temporarily soften them, so bear that in mind.

Hmm Nail Envy is not a base coat though! Have you tried putting it under the base coat and then the polish? Also a different base coat than the one you were using. Oh and how often do you paint/remove your polish and how do you remove it?

My nails always peel when my iron is low. Have you seen your doctor recently and had blood work done? You might be slightly anemic, or have something else going on. Your nails are often one of the first indicators of nutritional deficiency or other illness; might be time to call and schedule a check-up just to be safe.
