I have sport tommrow and when j play I just want to put it up then any ideas how to get the 'perfect messy ponytail' thanks in advance.

Flip your hair upside down, and gather your hair up on top of your head. flip back up & tie your hair. or, you could just use your fingers to comb your hair back and then tie it off.

I agree with Shreya on the first pony tail idea and I also like to just take a brush and easily brush it into a ponytail. For a loose one I tie it around 2 times and for a tight ponytail I tie it around 3. Good luck with your sport and I hop this helped!
