Guys I am getting so insecure about my t-zone! I don't know what to do! I have salicylic acid from Paula's choice. I have retin-a but nothing is making a difference! I feel so sad :(

How long have you been using the products? And what's your current skincare routine?

I see you ask about skincare quite a lot and I'm just wondering if you're waiting long enough for results before chopping and changing your routine.

It takes 4 weeks plus to see results from skincare due to cell turnover.

I find my skin is at its best when I have a really consistent routine. At the moment I'm really enjoying using La Roche Posay Effeclar products to deal with my minor acne and blocked pores.

Those chemicals are really bad! Try using an oil based cleanser, preferably Dr. Bronner's. You can get it at any drug store or pharmacy, I've also found some at American Apparel. Depending on the size and where you go it's about $4-$16. I use it twice at most twice a day, it's very drying to remember to use a light moisturizer. Don't skip moisturizer, I use to do that think that will reduce oil, it only produces it. Using an oil based cleanser combats the sebum glands (oil glands) and reduces the amount of oil produced, because using excess oil tells your glands you are producing too much oil. Skipping the moisturizer will make your glands produce more oil. As far as the rough texture and large pores, you need to exfoliate. A natural way to exfoliate is with the Dr. Bronner's adding some corn meal. I promise if you use an oil based cleanser for about two weeks you will see a change!

You should only use chemicals when you have a break out.

I agree with rebecca. you need to stick with a routine for a while in order to see results. consistency is key. I really don't see anything wrong with your tzone. skin has texture, visible pores and imperfections. if your so concerned about it invest in a clarisonic and go to a dermatologist or esthetician.

Try the Peter Thomas Roth mattifying gel. It fills pores and mattifies the skin!

Depending on how long you have been using the products, give it some more time to work.

I don't agree with using Dr. Bronners soap. That stuff is way too drying. I put some in a bath and it got on my hair and made it feel like straw. I can only using that on the face, even if you are using moisturizer after.

Salicylic acid is not very helpful when you have oily skin, especially for your t-zone...
generally when you have oily skin it is because you use to much different products on this area. your skin needs a rest...I mean try some soft products for two weeks and you will see how your skin recovers...good luck! :)

First of all, I wouldnt be using salicylic acid and retin-a at the same time, because its more likely to overwhelm and dry you out. As those before me said, consistency is key, and it'll take about 4-6 weeks to actually notice a difference.
