So I've seen a lot of posts asking about sun relief. Of course, sunscreen is your friend and prevention is best, but I thought I'd share what uses: Solarcaine. I comes in a spray and a gel. I prefer the gel. It stinks, but it brings an amazing relief. It's instant and heavenly. It has lidocaine and aloe--it's strong, so the mild sunburns don't necessarily need it and I wouldn't put it on the face. It's perfect for the painful, red sunburns. It does sting on peeling sunburns though. You can get it at any drug store. I'm surprised by how few people know of it.

Thanks for the tip! I rarely ever think about buying aloe so whenever I'm in a pinch I just soak a paper towel in milk it helps but it is very slow to make the redness and pain away.

I live and breathe this stuff in the summertime. It's great on a sunburn, but it's also great to just carry it around when it's really hot and humid. Just spray on a bit and it cools you down right away. It does kind of stink, but it feels wonderful.

I used on a regular burn. I put my finger on a stovetop and instant relief!
