Hey everybody! So I've been using sephoras clear mascara for the past 2 years and I loved how it looked, but I didn't notice that after I started I started having problems with my contact lenses, my eyes were always dry.. This year I had to start wearing glasses all the time simply because I couldn't wear the contacts anymore without getting a terrible headache. I went to doctors but no one knew what the problem was.. Yesterday I went to another doctor and he told me the dryness is the result of the mascara! I've never been allergic to any sort of makeup and usually I'm happy with the products I get there, but this specific one is a disappoint. Please be careful with it, I don't know if this just happened to me, try to be aware of it if you use it..

Thanks so much for the heads up. I wear contacts as well and I have to be super careful about what I put on or near my eyes. I've never had that reaction to a non-fiber mascara though, that's odd.

I'm the same as you Tal, my eyes are even more sensitive and are naturally dry. Eyeliner made my eyes feel like hell with contacts and when I got a mascara there was no way I could keep that going so I just wear glasses now. Makeup>contacts for me lol.

I'm the same way. I'm on medication that I couldn't wear contacts because they made my eyes so dry and since they're already sensitive, they got super irritated. Luckily I get to come off it and get to start wearing contacts again soon lol.
But like hannah the only things that bother me is the fiber or really flakey mascara. Sometimes if I get eyeliner in my eye it'll irritate it but I don't normally use anything on the waterline anyways.

Thank you for sharing! I never thought of my mascara being the reason my contacts get dry because they say contact lense safe but I will try a different mascara and see how it goes :)
