Hello! Okay so I have pretty long hair, but it's layered. When it's straight it lands just below my boob. But I want to grow it even longer. I've dyed my hair for about 8ish years, so it's had its toll. I've decided to stop using heat when possible, and to not color the ends. But all my life I've wanted to be a ginger, but I always lightened my hair growing up. Since I have a red/orange undertone, that's almost how my hair was. Now I want to go back to that, but I'm afraid of the damage. So I wanted to get partial highlights (highlights only on the hair sections from my ears and up) and was wondering what do you guys think? Especially considering summer is right around the corner!!

(That's my hair color currently, but it has more of a red tint to it, that you can't see)

I say go for it! it will be damaging, but what's the point of having long hair if you can't style it and do stuff with it? (; I used to be so cautious about using heat because I wanted my hair to grow, but if you use hair masks and take proper care of your hair, using heat every now and then doesn't harm your hair too much [at least for me] your hair does look lovely as is so if you are really concerned, this color suits you well too!

I think highlights would be great. it wouldnt be too much damage and would be just enough lightness for the summer. as for damage there are lots of products to help. my hair used to be EXTREMELY damaged. Enjoy hairproducts are amazing and fixed my hair all in two years. you can find them online and sometimes in hair salons. goodluck! hope this helped!
