Anyone have a way for your hair to grow faster?!?!?

Drink lots of water, and take biotin or hair growth pills (yes there's such thing but I'm not too sure if they work) and I had a biotin shampoo and it seemed to work well for me :)

The easiest way to make your hair grow is to keep it healthy. Don't mistake me, the rate at which your hair grows is determined by genetics, and nothing you can do will make your hair grow faster than it naturally would at its healthiest.

First, trim any split ends. If you don't, they will keep splitting up the shaft and ruin even more of your hair. That means that when you do finally cut your hair, you'll have to cut off even more of it to get rid of the splits

Second, invest in a sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner (I like the L'oreal EverStrong, as well as Pureology, because my hair is constantly dyed and Pureology is great for maintaining that. Occasionally, I use the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo, which is neither sulfate free nor for dyed hair, but it makes my hair feel SO clean, and that's not the worst thing once in a while), and a hair mask or deep conditioner (I like Macadamia Deep Repair Masque and the L'oreal Power Moisture Mask). In the shower, wash your hair first thing, shampoo only the roots and condition from your ears down. After that, apply your mask, focusing on the ends of your hair. Finger comb until you don't feel any knots, and then put your hair in a bun. Leave it that way for the rest of your shower, washing it out should be the last thing you do. I wash my hair around 3 times a week (with dry hair I can get away with it) and do the hair mask every time. If you need to wash your hair more than that, reduce your hair mask usage to 3 times :) make sure you're finger combing your hair in the shower so that you don't have to brush it, because brushing it can break it off like heck.

Third, in terms of heat protectors, I like the Tressemme and It's a 10 Leave in Plus Keratin. However, I advise you to cut out heat styling as much as possible (It's not the worst thing as long as you take care of your hair, so if you can't I wouldn't worry).

That's my hair routine, my entire head was bleached for 7 years and it is just as healthy as it was before I dyed it.

There's no way to make it grow faster. Just care for it like Hannah said. Don't take any pills or vitamins without consulting your doctor beforehand.

Hey, like most people are saying there probably isn't a quick way to help your hair grow faster. Definitely giving it a trim once every 6 weeks is recommended for healthy hair and will keep your hair growing.

Also, I have been advised - and you can do your own research - that castor oil is effective for aiding hair growth and thickness, though I can't tell you if it works for me yet as I have only used it once (last night).

I was also told to combine castor oil with sesa oil (an indian oil very famous used by lots of indian women) to increase hair shine, stability and thickness.

I would recommend doing this once to twice a week depending on your hair type. Mine is normal and is prone to getting greasy at times, so would only do this once a week. You just massage a small amount (again depending on hair type but castor oil is thick and goes a long way) into your roots (your hair can be dry) and leave over night (wrapped in towel) and next day remove by first shampooing without water to cut through the oil and then applying the water. I cracked an egg on my head and massaged it into my roots before applying shampoo and this really worked for me

Whatever you do don't take any pills and don't over wash your hair. Also try to use natural shampoo like shampoo bars which contain good oils for your hair.

Your hair is going to grow at the rate it grows, oils only trap in moisture to keep hair healthy, it doesn't make it grow.

Ok, I have 14 years experience as a stylist so please take it from me... castor oil will NOT make your hair grow faster or make it thicker. if anything it may leave a coating on the hair that will make it feel thicker. this Bugs me, because no matter how many times this question is asked, someone always says castor oil, or olive oil masks, or some other bogus growth method. hair growth comes from with in, so keep yourself hydrated, eat well and get regular trims. castor oil will make your hair softer, yes that is true but it does nothing for thickness or length.

Coconut oil is amazing! I manage it into my scalp and all over my hair and I don't wash my hair every day!

I 100% agree with Hannah and Kelly. You hair isn't going to grow any faster than genetics allows so just keep yourself and your hair healthy so that you hair can grow at the rate that your genetics allows.

I also agree to NOT take any kinds of pills, including Biotin, Hairfinity, and any other hair and nail pills unless you consult a doctor first.

Cocoa, castor oil may help keep your hair healthy and hydrated, preventing in from breaking. that may make it seem like it's growing faster. it will also make it glossier, but that's with any oil. but scientists don't have to experiment on everyone in the world, it's a proven fact that growth is determined by genetics. when it comes to that, yes, everyone is the same. also, hair growth comes from with in. your hair folicle is not effected by what is out on the ends of your hair...and even your scalp.

I completely agree ^

Exactly what Kelly said. I've tried explaining the science behind this before, but got angry replies. It's science. It's the placebo effect that you're seeing. It's not actually growing faster.
