To me, personally, a plain silver heel works best. I kinda think the sparkles detract somewhat from the dress, whereas plain silver looks pretty, ties in well, but doesn't detract attention away from hits dress. I just personally find a sparkly dress. And long with sparkly shoes a little gaudy at times, and honestly I think the simplicity of the first pair works so well at keeping the focus on the dress.
