Anyone know where to buy this for water softening?

Hard water is bad for your hair and can diminish the colour. I saw this on a blog and was interested. Do you know where to get this or a similar product? And what were your experiences?

I've seen it at the local beauty shop. I have to color my hair every two weeks anyway so I don't bother with this kind of stuff.
