Anyone know where to buy this for water softening?

Hard water is bad for your hair and can diminish the colour. I saw this on a blog and was interested. Do you know where to get this or a similar product? And what were your experiences?

We have a watet softening tank that you fill with special salt... I've never seen these tiny little packets..

You can get water softeners and filters for showers at any home Depot, rona, Lowes, etc. For much cheaper than a beauty supply store will sell it.
