Lime Crime Dilemma..! Help appreciated.

Hey everyone. I had asked in a previous post regarding reviews on the abh liquid lipsticks or coloured raine matte lip paint. I didn't get good feedback so I hope I do this time. Long story short. I want a matte liquid lipstick that is long wearing and VEGAN. I live in Africa so its a process ordering online and getting it shipped here.I know about the lime crime controversy and I want to avoid ordering from them but they are the only long wearing liquid lipstick I know that are vegan. I do not wear lip products with carmine as an ingredient. For those who don't know carmine is derived from thousands of beetles that are crushed for the red pigment. That to me is gross, hence I am looking for a vegan liquid lipstick. I have lime crime red velvet and I love the formula it lasts all day. Please recommend something similar. Also I'm looking for a wide variety of shades. Thanks so much.

I don't know if kat von d is vegan but her liquid lipsticks are absolutely great, and stilas liquid lipsticks are as well but i dont know if there vegan

I heard lime crime isn't even actually vegan anyways. That was one of the many reasons people hated them before the "scandal" on them even began.

Lime crime isn't vegan. They never were. But I'd check out small companies. You'll get more choices. Kat von d is cruelty free and I know they try to be vegan when possible, but sephora ships to China where animal testing is mandatory, so the parent company isn't.

Oh and the kvd liquid lipsticks have beeswax so not vegan unfortunately. Same with stila's. But kvd doesn't have carmine in any of them, or any other creature made product.

I will check out the stila and kat von d..thanx guys.. Alyx yes I guess beeswax was later listed as an ingredient in the velvetines. I'm not vegan so I don't mind beeswax. It's the carmine that bugs (pun intended hahah) me. I try not to use lipsticks which such ingredients in them coz of the possibility of it going in the mouth even though I'm not vegan. Hope that makes sense. Thanx for the help. 😊😊

I am a vegan and I must suggest the OCC lip tars! Many different shades that you can blend , matte or shiny and lasts all day. Give them a try. :)
