Please forgive my gross/bumpy skin in the pics as its recovering from a nasty med reaction.
This claims to be an oil-control semi-matte foundation. The texture is a mix between creamy and runny. Shaking it is a must because when I first squeezed some out it was watery and clear. I applied with clean fingers and in small sections because this stuff sets quite quickly.
I have a yellow undertone to my complexion and was concerned about appearing ashy but from looking at the foundation in natural light it does have a tinge of yellow to it. Not enough in my opinion but not bad for a drugstore foundation.
I waited about 10 minutes before I went on to set it. Before blotting I noticed that it definitely isn't a semi-matte in my opinion. More of a satin finish. After blotting in my t-zone I applied my powder blush (NARS Torrid) then I went in to set it with NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder (pressed version). I applied my makeup at the crack of dawn...5:30am to be exact and now its 7pm and it survived the hot humid high of about 88 degrees where I'm at.
No oxidizing or separation to be found on my skin. My skin is a shiny in my t-zone area but I really don't mind that too much as my skin is just healing itself.
On to the million dollar question...coverage. Since my reaction is starting to calm down I see some scaring along my chin and jawline. Did it cover it? Not really. Even shortly after application I could still see the scars thru the foundation. And my chin appears slightly dark so I can't depend on this foundation to color correct that area in the future. On the tube it states that it is medium coverage and they are spot on for that assessment. I'm pretty sure that if I tried this prior to my skin reaction it would give me a flawless look but if you have any slight scarring like I do currently then you might not like this foundation if you are trying to hide such pesky annoyances.
Another thing that stands correct is that this foundation is light in texture. You definitely won't feel it on the skin. I know I didn't but I also didn't add a second layer of product either.
Do I think this is a worthy product? I most certainly do and I plan on holding on to this one even though I don't need another foundation in my rotation.
For reference I'm about an NC45 in MAC (in the new Longwear Nourishing Waterproof formula I wear NC50), Bobbi Brown #6 Golden and Laura Mercier Flawless Finish Fluide Pecan.
Other products not listed above but used today:
*DiorShow Lash Plumping Serum
*Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara
*Maybelline FitMe Concealer in #30 Cafe (I set it with the NARS Crystal Powder)
*YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in #14 ( its a lovely brownie nude gloss)
*Essence Clear Mascara used on the brows (wasn't in the mood to deal with a brow pencil)

You are welcome Alivia.
Laura...I will need to try applying it with a sponge next to see if maybe it will help further diffuse my newly aqquired dark spots. I'm pretty impressed by it thus far. Now I'm tempted to pick up the powder from the same collection.
