Ignorant question about RCMA foundation & water/oil based foundation.

This might be a really stupid question, but I am genuinely confused, lol. Anyway, I have very oily skin and I'm interested in RCMA's foundation. I heard that this foundation is mainly made of oils though, and all my life people have told me to use foundations that are water based so that I'm not adding any extra oils to my already oily skin. The problem I see with that though is that water and oil don't mix, so if I use water based foundations for my oily skin, won't this just cause the foundation to separate and stuff on my face? I feel like this is what happened with my recent "oil-free" foundation, NARS ADLW.

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you for explaining this! Also, I haven't tried a primer with it, mostly because I can't afford much high end products and I'm unsure if any drugstore primers actually work... if you do have any recommendations though I'll save up for it! :)

I have normal to oily skin and have been using the NARS ADLW with my NYX Photo Loving Primer and haven't experienced the foundation separating when my skin's more on the oily side (:

This helped so much. Thank you Jacqueline and Alexis! I'm definitely going to save up for these products.

Jacqueline do you use a primer at all with this foundation or no? and also this foundation could eliminate the use of concealer? how long should you wait til allow it to set before applying bronzer if you don't set it with a powder? I'm sorry to ask this on nikkis post but I don't feel I need to make a new post since its talking about the same foundation and it could also maybe help nikki also :)

Yes I completely understand and I saw that pallet and was considering it I'm glad you said something about it maybe spending a little more to be able to mix colors to get the perfect shade would be better than spending money on one that could be slightly off :)
