So I'm curious as to how others see "olive skin" I noticed in magazines it's seen more as a specific color and not an undertone.
Then when it is seen as a tone people throw it in the "neutral" coloring. I'm quite warm toned but I'm "olive." Even though I'm in the light-medium/medium range.
when I wear neutral stuff I look ashy or muddy.
When I wear more yellow toned stuff It looks slightly pink or peachy.(usually just try and use a filter) I'm just wondering how others classify "olive skin" because there seems to be different definitions

I have olive skin because I'm Italian but I'm super light and I tan easily.

Justine, yeah I see it in a lot of south Europeans too. Especially Mediterranean women. I'm Latina and South East Asian. I look quite yellow but compared to other yellow toned people I look slightly greenish while they look more peachy.
Jacqueline, yeah it's kind of confusing.
I look quite warm toned. My aunts always notice how yellow I am.
I'm lighter in color than them so I guess they see it more, compared to them my skin looks a yellow/green and they look more peachy.
It's kind of hard I find a color. I go straight to yellow toned but if it's a touch too light it looks ashy and a tad pink, if it's a tad too dark it look peachy.
I like the MUFE in shade 123 and MAC Studio Fix in C30. They seem to match closest although the MUFE isn't yellow enough so I have to top it with a yellow powder

Jacqueline, I love the MAC one! It's quite close, I wish they made newer foundations with that coloring system.
I've read NC is for neutral warm skin, C shade with a single digit are more yellow and C shades with double digits are more yellow/olive and I'd have to agree :)
I actually haven't tried the Joe Blasco's Foundations at all but I'll definitely look into them! :D
I do remember the DermaColor from Kryolan I got from that same site, they also had some good olive shades. I found two shades that worked for me from them I think one was shade "D3"

Justine, haha me too. I think cause the veins are more visible there? I'm not too sure but they do look a bit more green than my face.

This is very relatable! After months of doubts, (do you remember Jackie? I struggled with my undertone) I finally realized I'm an olive-skinned gal and maybe that's why the vein assessment didn't "work" perfectly! :)
My dad is Italian (my origins are from Apulia, near Greece) so it makes perfect sense! My mom, on the other hand, is Irish and German. Living in Italy also makes it easier to get tan, which happens super fast for me.
I can see what you're saying Jacqueline! In the winter I feel like I'm cool while in the summer I'm definitely golden!
Thank you for the suggestions! I'm fortunate enough that I don't need foundation every day but a product I thoroughly enjoy is the MUFE skin equalizer in yellow! Thanks again for the suggestion Jacqueline :)

I consider myself olive skin tone as well, because I have a very distinct yellow tinge to my skin. A warmer, green yellow if you will as well. I'm also on the lighter to medium tone, though... But people are always asking me "why are you yellow?" Lol.
