Here's my makeup for today! constructive criticism is welcomed (:

products used:
> loreal paris anti-redness bb cream
> maybelline fit me concealer (20)
> maybelline fit me powder (220)
> estee lauder pure color blush (sheer amourose)
> covergirl smokey shadow blast (step 1)
> maybelline master hi-lighting blush (40; mauve)
> nyc smooth skin bronzer (sunny)
> estee lauder color design eyeshadow (daylight)
> estee lauder pure color eyeshadow (wild truffle)
> physicians formula custom eye enhancing eyeliner (black)
> covergirl claim crusher mascara (black)
> maybelline rocket mascara (dark brown)
> victoria secret beauty rush mascara (black)
> vaseline

how I applied it:
1.) I like to start off by evening my skin tone and face so I just applied a small amount of my bb cream all over the skin.
2.) I had a couple pimples showing up so I used the maybelline fit me concealer. I was going out with some friends and hadn't gotten much sleep the night before so I took the same concealer and placed the slightest amount under my eyes to brighten them up.
3.) to keep my makeup from sliding off throughout the day, I took my powder and mattified my skin.
4.) I didn't have an eyeshadow primer with me so I used the smokey eyeshadow stick in the lightest shade and applied that all over my lids for a base.
5.) I took my pink hi-lighting blush from maybelline and dipped my eyeshadow brush in the gold and light pink and dusted that all over my lids. next, I took a mauve color from that same blush and took a pointed eyeshadow brush and placed that precisely in my crease and blended it with my fluffy eyeshadow brush. next, I took my bronzer and put a very light amount with my fluffy crease brush to blend everything together and pull the look together. lastly, I took a white eyeshadow and placed it in my inner corners and brow bone.
6.) I tight lined my eyes with the physicians formula eyeliner and for the top lid, I took my vs mascara on an angled eyeliner brush and pressed it onto my lid. I set my eyeliner with a black eyeshadow from estee lauder and put it right on top of the eyeliner to keep it from smudging throughout the day. I also dusted a little bit of that shadow right beneath my water line.
7.) for my lashes, I curled them and applied one coat of covergirl clump crusher to add some length and then applied another coat of my maybelline rocket to add some volume.
8.) for my brows, I applied an estee lauder eyeshadow in my brow shade with an angled eyeliner brush and set it with a little bit of vaseline to act as a brow gel at the moment because I left mine.
9.) I applied a little bit of the vaseline to my lips to apply a little bit of gloss without going crazy.

look I was going for:
I wanted a natural everyday makeup

opinions on look:
I personally really like it

opinions on products:
I have been using these techniques and products for quite some time so I really have nothing bad to say about them. though, the eyeliner I used for tight lining is rather big and I'd like to find a smaller more precise eyeliner for easier application. also, the vaseline for setting my brows can make them weird and goopy, but once going through them with a spoolie, they look nice again (:

what would I change:
I want to get a better eyeliner for tight lining and also purchase a new brow gel. I would probably also change the amount of blush I use. I don't feel like the pigmentation is great.

I would love to hear your opinions and feedback of things that I am doing great on and things I might need to work on (:

I'm sorry for the awkward camera angle, but I struggle taking pictures of my makeup and having it show up on camera. if you have any tips, please feel free to share (:

Umm yes! Love the detailed post. I'm not one for informing rules, I don't really care, but this was actually really enjoyable to read through :)
Beautiful look, I love the Orange shades on your blue eyes! Such a fresh, glows face you have. Super pretty! I have a question, does the powder have coverage?

So pretty! Please start making posts/threads daily- you have a really great attention to detail! Btw, thanks for the advice on my hair in an earlier thread:). Now I have some nice highlights and my hair has lightened a bit!

@R T. Thanks so much! That really means a lot (: And yes, the powder does have some coverage. The bb cream is a little too dark for my skin, so I just apply this powder to make it appear more my color lol!

Girrrl how do you have the patience to type all that? 😳
But I really love how orange makes your eyes pop and overall looks gorgeous.

I love oranges, reds and pinks in the eyes! Even with my brown eyes I really do think it makes them pop. I love how you used colour but still made it look natural, I think focusing less on blush and more on a bronzer with this look could lead it in a super cool direction especially for summer

@Les N. Haha I love to type! And thank you ☺️ I definitely think I'll be wearing these shades more often this summer, but don't know what I'll do in the winter! @Brittany F. Thank you! I'lol try adding bronzer next time! (:

I love the look! So fresh and natural! I agree with Brittany about the bronzer but that's just because I'm a bronzer junkie lol :) Also lovely detail Hun!!

@Tessandra R. Thank you so much! I love bronzer too, but most of my friends make fun of me when I wear it ): Maybe I just need a better bronzer for my skin tone or they're doing it because they don't like the look personally.

Friends are lame like that, I used to have friends that teased me when I wore a lip colour (even nude) or contoured, but I know I look fabulous so ignore them 😉😉

Thanks Brittany (: I'm going to wear it!

My friends do that too, but mostly because they don't know how to put it on! After I helped them a lot of them got into it! If you're having trouble finding a bronzer, I recommend trying Rimmel Natural Bronzer or Hoola Benefits Bronzer :) They're both amazing and my go tos! Rimmel is about $4-$5 and Hoola is about $25-$35 on Amazon :)

Thanks Tessandra! Is there a difference in formulas? If you had to choose one, which would you choose?

Jul 1, 2015

Tessandra R.

If I had to choose one it would definitely be Hoola Benefits! The main difference between the two is Hoola is high end and Rimmel is drug store. Hoola has more pigmentation, and is made for almost all skin types! But if I'm in a pinch I love Rimmel!

GORGEOUS! Your posts are always great! I love how detailed you were, I definitely don't have as much patience as you when it comes to typing, honestly if I get too lazy I just use the microphone tool that turns speech into text😳

I love it! Love the Orange sooooo much! I also agree that bronzer would help really point out your features and highlighter which would make you look glowey and just make the look even better!! :)
