As some of you already know I recently experienced a painful outbreak due to overloading my body with salt (salt tablets) to counteract the effects of excessive sweating. My body couldn't take it so it resulted in painful cystic acne that is heavy on my chin/jaw and forehead.

Those very familiar with cystic acne know its painful as all get out. It also makes you feel very self conscious...like you feel as if everyone is staring at your skin. I've experienced such breakouts before but this one has been the worse because of the extreme pain. The first 48 hours it was painful to even talk. And just washing my face made me want to cry.

The pain has subsided quite a bit but it still lingers. I have my special concoctions assisting in the healing process but I'm such a skincare addict that even as I heal I still can't resist checking out new products. So when I found out that Josie Maran's newest product dropped at Sephora I had to get it. I love facial sprays and essences and though I have an arsenal of them in my collection I had to have this one simply because of the ingredients. Of course with any product the marketing hype is going to be present so I skip the details of what this one is touting but what caught my eye is the fact that it contains cucumber fruit water, coconut water, aloe leaf juice powder. And the fact that the majority of the ingredients are listed as natural. Grant it the same stuff can be had at your local health food store and mixed at home but I don't have the time or energy/desire to play chemist.

I tries this out last night after cleansing and whoa buddy!! It soothed my skin quite nicely. And then I applied my aloe vera immediately afterwards. If my skin could talk I think it would give off a loud "Thank You". It cancelled out the slight pain I was feeling in the chin/jaw region. It claims this product gives the skin a brighter/smoother appearance...hmmmm...I don't know about all that but it certainly did feel super hydrated and not dry as my spot treatment has been quite drying on the affected areas of my face.

I'm curious to see how it performs over the long run but I just wanted to share my intial thoughts about this product. What facial sprays are your favorite? Curious mind wants to know. ;)

I've been wanting to try this one Shelley I was so happy to see it mentioned on here just now and even happier it was a review from YOU lol. I love anything that hydrates my skin. I'm so glad to hear it delivers a relief to your skin issues you're experiencing!

Awww you are welcome Sarah. I also forgot to add that there is no heavy fragrance...synthetic or natural. The scent is practically non-existent. I used it again this morning and same feeling...felt super hydrated. The only downside I discovered...its housed in a glass bottle. I dropped it on my foot and even though it didn't crack/break my poor toe was not happy.

I love JM products! I had countless of empty bottles of the argan oil. I heard about this like few days ago, and forgot to grab this while roaming around Chicago last week during my vacay. My skin was dry due to weather there. I forgot to bring the JM argan oil too. So I ended up having dry skin. Can't wait for my days off to get this baby. I'm excited. Hopefully this one will work for me.

I won this product from a giveaway Josie Maran was giving on Instagram and absolutely love it. I've been using it for about a week now and for me it does everything it claimed it would. My skin feels younger more supple if that makes sense. I'm oily but it doesn't make me look oily, only radiant. It states that it helps the effectiveness of the skincare items I already use and I agree, especially with my eye cream. I've dramatically decreased the amount I use everyday.
