Follow the dress code to a T! No jeans, leggings, trainers! For my interview for a day nursery (my current job), I wore black tapered dress trousers, flat ballet pumps and a cream chiffon shirt. Hair in a sleek bun or ponytail. Neutral makeup.
Make sure you know about the institution. Bring a copy of your CV and relevant documentation. Arrive 5-10 minutes early for the interview. Shake hands with the interviewer (s) before and after the interview, even if they don't prompt it first. Remain calm and professional. Don't be afraid to think about an answer to a question before answering. Use terminology that will make you sound as if you know your stuff. Don't lie, but present the best version of you. Good luck!

Anytime! My cousins a careers advisor and she gave me that advice for my first job interview, I got the job too :) what position are you going for at McDonald's? I work in a Busy Bee's day nursery if you've heard of them :)

I think the biggest mistake is that people don't ask questions at a job interview. You have every right to know exactly what is expected even though you are the one being interviewed. I've always sat down and thought of questions I may have before an interview, wrote them done, and brought them with me.

I agree with Tiffany! But never ask about salary or time off :)
