160 or 60? If 160 go with a babyliss pro straightener. They are literally the best. I've had mine for forever and it has never broken on me.

Honestly with straighteners I'd really suggest saving up on a good one, I love my chi and I have curly hair and it still works amazingly, I've heard ghd's are good too but I havent tried it.

I agree with gabby! Save your money and scout for sales on the expensive ones. My flat iron was originally $450 I got it for $60 from beyond the rack and it's seriously amazing! My hair is crazy crazy thick and with Remington it would take me 1.5 hours and I'd still have kinks an waves. Ghd my friend has and it's lasted her 6-7 years and it just just broke because her sister dropped it, I would borrow it and it cut iron time to 30 minutes no kinks. Mine I can't recall the name f I'm not at home it starts with a b though I want to say belizza it something and it takes literally 10 minutes to iron my hair poker straight.

I have one from Remington that I got at Target and it's amazing for the price. It was super affordable and does an amazing job at straightening my hair. Mine goes up to 410 (I believe, I always just put it on the highest setting) and one pass is enough to straighten my naturally wavy and slightly think hair (: I can't remember the name of it but it's the hot pink one.

I agree with Gabby, save up for one used by professionals, mine is a G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling Iron has Tourmaline Ceramic plates. Whatever you buy make sure there is a 3 year warranty minimum.
