I usually take my mascara off with a make up remover wipe but it brings a few of my eyelashes out. Is there a softer/less harsh way to remove it so it doesn't pull any lashes out?

Is your mascara waterproof?

You may be rubbing too hard. It could also be the method of removal causing the fall out.. When I used wipes for my makeup I also found that some of my lashes would fall out. I suggest using a different method such as coconut oil or (liquid) makeup remover on a cotton pad. Good luck(:

If it's not, you can try to gently soak a cotton ball with warm water (not too hot). And wipe downwards. This will get the mascara off your lashes and into the skin beneath it, making it easier to remove quickly, this does depend on the brand though, I use the maybelline rocket mascara

Hold the makeup remover wipe on the eyelashes, whilst your eyes are closed of course, on there for about 20 seconds then wipe it downwards

Just like with hair on your head, you lose lashes! They are just being trapped in with your mascara and that's why you are noticing it more when you are removing your mascara. Your lashes cycle every 8-12 weeks and they all grow at different rates. If you are wearing waterproof it is way harsher on them than regular mascara. Waterproof mascara is one of the worst things you can regular do to your lashes. Try using a cream makeup remove like the one Vichy has or even a liquid and let it sit for a minute or two in your lashes before wiping off or use a q-tip to gently remove, might help to reduce the amount of shedding, the wipes might be a little hard on them.

Coconut oil removes mascara without a problem. Remove the the eye makeup with coconut oil then remove coconut oil with wipes.

I agree with Mer. I also highly suggest not using makeup remover wipes. Use a makeup remover and let it soak for a moment then wipe downwards and don't use too much pressure. I use Dermalogica eye makeup remover, it has silk amino acids which helps strengthen eyelashes. I always get compliments on my lashes and I experience less lashes falling out since I've switched to this product.

I use coconut oil to remove my mascara. I gently massage it and wipe with a cotton pad and wash my face.

I would agree with Sarah N. Use an eye makeup remover. Garnier has a good one which I use or ysl and lancome have good ones too if you feel like going high end. They usually have a liquid and oil mixture which you mix before each use. They are very gentle on the eyes too and use as little pressure as possible :)

*shake before each use

Maybe some makeup remover lotion.

You can try a cleansing oil & gently massage over your eyes to remove (great for waterproof). I find it to be more gentle than using wipes or eye makeup remover on a cotton round.

It wasn't waterproof, I hardly wear that because it's so hard to get off.
Thanks everyone! I'll definitely try out your suggestions! :)

You could also try a tubular mascara (like blink, or loreal double extend). They form a "tube" around your lashes, and will slide off with water and light pressure.

@Sarah N or anyone really - I have been using the Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover liquid for awhile but find I have to rub my eye too much to get all my mascara off. I was going to try Lancôme s Bifacial? Do you prefer the Dermalogica one to the Lancôme?

You could get aloe vera gel, put it in a tissue and leave it in your eyes for about 20 sec and it'll take you eye makeup off.

Taina - Dermalogica is a fabulous line though the Lancôme remover is super popular with makeup artist and actors I've worked with so I don't think you can really go wrong with either
