Okay so apparently I have a disease that causes severe chronic pain and it can lead to other complications too. As of right now the pain isn't that bad but it can get worse and I'm going to end up on medicine that can wreck havoc on my skin and my energy to get out of bed and go anything. (I might also undergo surgery of it gets worse) So I need some tips on looking good while still in pain our just simple things I can do to look decent when it to painful to do anything. I also just got married (yesterday was our one month anniversary) so sometimes I still want to look sexy for my husband and things like that. also if you deal with chronic pain what are some of your tips or just things you do beauty wise to make yourself feel better when you feel like crap?

thank you all in advance??

Just do the simple things, do what you can. Take the time you have perfecting things rather than rushing through everything. At the end of it all, don't risk your health trying to look sexy. Your husband should understand.

He's probably more worried than I am about it but I have a bad habit of wanting things like our house spotless so I tend to push myself to the limit.

Don't do that. Chronic pain is too serious to be perfecting everything dear!

That is a lesson I will have to learn.

I suffer chronic pain as well. I like to do hair treatments and make my hair all soft and shiny, then when it's washed out and dry.. I style it! I'll also do my make up really nicely and take a few pics and send it to my man! He always texts back something complimenting and it makes me feel great :)

If you feel well enough to go out, then I really love to get dressed up in my fav dress and heels and do my make up and go out for dinner or something :) it's a good distraction!

If you don't mind sharing, then what do you have? I may be able to help :)

I have endometriosis.

I have that amongst my other illnesses. it's very crippling. I had 2 laparoscopies to try and fix it which never did but I highly recommend doing a minimal sugar and minimal gluten/dairy/wheat/processed diet. Diet is so effective. For pain relief, I use to soak in a hot bath and put relaxing music on to soothe my thoughts away from the pain. Sleep also helped me. I have kidney issues too so I can't take pain killers but I know that endone is the only thing that was close enough to helping me. Are you on the pill? That helps by skipping your period which further reduced the risk of the endo growing more.
Pregnancy is the only thing that is pretty much proven to fix endo but that's not recommendable of course!

I feel your pain and I hope the surgery helps if you do have it or at least being temporary relief <3.

I suffer from chronic pain as well, and I know it can be really tough to even get out of bed, let alone make myself up. When I'm feeling particularly bad but want to do something to pamper myself, I usually do a face and/or hair mask, because I can do those things laying down but still feel like I'm doing something. And if I need to go out and am having a bad day, I just do the bare minimum (mascara, brows, lips) and try to not care that I'm not "completely" done. When I'm feeling good, I get ALL made up and dress up nice. It feels silly sometimes to get all dolled up to go to the grocery store, but when you're not able to do it regularly, it can make a world of difference to your self esteem. It does for me anyway!

I also would recommend finding a forum specifically geared towards chronic pain. I use the Spine-Health forum, and it's really helpful to be able to talk to people who get it. Chronic pain is an invisible illness, and try as they might, people who don't have it don't really understand how debilitating it can be. Talking to people who are going through the same thing, even if it's just to vent your frustrations, is (in my opinion) a necessary tool for healing and not going totally nuts.

Actually Kel I'm not on the pill, when I used to be on any form of birth control it made me bleed for months at a time and now I just don't have periods anymore. But thank you guys for the advice and I'll definitely be talking to my doctor about the diet thing.

Sorry to hear that girl, hope you get better! I also have had chronic pain since I was little, it really sucks :/ I'd suggest doing simple things, if your comfortable doing lashes, do those& mascara, or just mascara, your foundation/face makeup, and bold lips (I like reds or vampy colors, but anything would be pretty) and brows. If you feel like it, maybe liner too but that can get annoying :p.

Also he'll think you're sexy no matter what, and I usually find that my boyfriend notices my clothes and hair more, so wearing a cute dress& curling your hair or something would be a lot easier/faster to do and I'm sure he'll like it :)
