Trying to dye my hair this color! My hair is a dark brown (reddish brown in the sun) right now. What color and company would you recommend? I've heard a lot about Ion but it didn't really make a big difference on my dark hair.

I know Loreal and garnier may have a few shades similar to this :)

Looks very close to Loreal hi color hilights in the shade magenta to me. Either that or manic panic vampire red.

Will it come out though? I always find similar colors but the color never comes out in my hair

You might have to dye it twice since your hair is dark. I got to vibrant red from brown hair in two tries with garnier nutrisse dye. One setting probably won't do the trick.

The Loreal hicolor hilights are made to be used on dark hair only so I think it would work for you. As Shanae said you might have to dye twice to get the color depth where you want but it should work.

L'Oreal really damaged my hair when I did that color. It took me good 6 months to get it normal... I recommend John Frieda in probably Dark Cherry...

Drugstore: Loreal dyes have worked well. But I do think the ion dye that they sell at sallys works best.

Whoops wrong post. Lol, I have also heard good things about Ion. But like I mentioned earlier, John Frieda is easily my favorite that I go back too as far as at home hair dyes go.
