What's The Difference Between Sunblock And Sunscreen?

What is the difference lol. I'm wondering cause I just stated up jogging during the day. which one would be the best for me? I also wanted to know and this may be a dumb question but does sunscreen or sunblock keep you from getting a. tan?

I'm in the sun for 60 min straight. lol! I just don't like getting tan cause I'm Hispanic but I'm a fair fair light skinned Hispanic. so when I start getting a tan it looks more like I didn't wash very well rather than a tan. it looks like dirt :(. my mom was like you didn't wash your legs well lol. I'm also trying to protect my skin from getting damaged I've put so much effort to getting my skin where I like it and I don't want my skin to go to crock.
