I'm just very confused about my hair rn as it has CHANGED! My hair used to be super curly not a single wave but now my hair is loosening and I'm just like lol what?

It's pretty long for curly hair so it could be weighing your hair down and stretching out your curl.

Btw is it possible to have a mix of two curl types bc I think I may also be a 3a?

Your hair is more 2c. try getting layers starting at your cheeks n keep your length. your curls are confused n want to make a shape but cannot. try doing deep conditions n keeping it natural, no straightening or high heats. Mine went thru so much damage that they're finally back to normal. I'll put a pic for you to see. contact me for any help!

Brooke I think you're right! My hair seems to very confused bc it was only a few years ago where they were 3b. For years I only wore my hair in a bun and when I did wear it down I straightened it. Last year (september time) I started wearing it out more and I was like "what the hell has happened?" At the time I thought it was damaged but my hair has since had time to recover so I have just come to the conclusion that my hair has changed. How long did it take for your hair to get back to normal?

Olivia-- it took a few months I want to say 4-6 months to truly get my spiral curls back to form. Since my hair grows fast I got it trimmed every 3-4 weeks. I suggest using Shea Moisture shampoo n conditioner because they're natural products. I wash my hair maybe 2-3 times a week. Try coconut oil masks once a week. No straighteners please. Use a diffuser on your blow dryer on low heat settings to define your curls.
Products I use
Shea moisture Thickening shampoo
(I use the curl n style milk by them as a conditioner )
Shea moisture curl souffle
the huge gel they have I forgot. this I use when my hairs wet too. So after all those I use Loreal ever curl cream gel for a better hold and I scrunch into my hair then diffuse dry n then I'm done. (:

Thanks brooke! I have occasionally still been using straighteners I admit haha but I haven't used them in a month so my hair probably still damaged. I don't think my hair will ever go back to the way it was as my hair has changed since puberty but I do believe that heat damage isn't helping the curls I have left! Thank you again for the advice! Xx
