What is the difference between balayage (I don't think I'm spelling it right) and ombre?

Baylage is hand painted and a little more dimensional and natural looking. Ombré is a dark to light fade that includes all of your hair.

Balayage is a type of highlight that is "painted on" and an ombre is a gradual dip dye

There's a huge difference!! I had both, I'm currently rocking the balayage and love it a lot more than the ombré. More dimension, texture and catches a lot of attention. I loved the ombré but it was very subtle

I paid 200 for my balayage at Ulta, it's pricey but I loved my result and for the ombré, probably 100 and it didn't take as long.

My balayage was $130. It takes forever. My appointment took four hours with my stylist and her assistant. It's worth it though. It's like dimensional and like moves with the curve of your hair. I'll post a few pics of the ones I've had.
