I have this weird orange patch in my hair?

Hi beauties! I have a little bit of a problem. Naturally my hair is thinner and kind of Caucasian, even though I'm 100% Chinese. It lacks the thick, slippery texture and is dark brown instead of black. Lately I noticed that some of the shorter hairs I have are turning orange. I was planning on dip dying my hair purple for the summer, and grey for the shook year, and all of that was dependent on having dark brown-black hair. Do you think I could still do the dip dye with the weird hair? And how can I get rid of it?

This is what I was planning on doing. Also, I mean school year not shook year 😂

You could definitely still dye your hair that way, but you'd have to dye the orange to match the other color. Also, unless this is something that is normal for your family, I would get t checked out. It seems really strange to me and it could indicate something more serious. It may not but it's always good to be safe.
