Freshman (: Beauty Questions

I am going to be a freshman in high school next year and I have a few questions beauty wise:

1.) how much makeup do you think a freshman should be allowed to wear? (I have acne on my nose and light freckles on my cheeks from the summer)

2.) what are some cute hairstyles for school? (I want to do something different everyday with my hair)

3.) what types of outfits do you think are appropriate for teenagers to wear to school?

these seem like basic questions, I know. but I was wondering what you guys personally think because I don't want to overdo it! thanks 😊

Honestly, these are all VERY subjective questions. Everyone is different, just be yourself. :-)

( You don't have to change your style / makeup just because you're going into highschool, worst thing to do ever )

Once you get to high school you'll realize that there's a huge diversity among everyone. It's not like middle or junior high where everyone is following the same trends. My biggest advice is to be yourself! Here's a hairstyle to try though :

Thank you! 😊 I used to wear a lot of makeup in 7th grade and got called names for it so I am very sensitive. I currently am in 8th grade and don't wear any makeup, but I feel insecure in my own skin so I wanted to know other people's opinions on what's "appropriate" but thank you!

Well I'd look for a medium coverage bb cream, I like the garnier bb cream and I usually set it with translucent powder. If you want extra coverage in certain areas you can use a concealer before you set it with powder. If you want to keep it natural a sheer gloss and mascara could complete the look. If you want to wear eyeshadow, you could wear nude shadows. If you want pics of natural makeup looks I have a ton! Let me know if you'd like them:)

Okay! thanks les 😊 maybe high school will be different from middle school and people will stop with the immature name-calling!

Katelyn, you can wear what you want to wear given that your parents give you the permission. As far as other people in high school, who cares! If you want to go light, you can use a tinted moisturizer, brows, mascara blush and lip and you're good to go. This is the most natural look I think!

Honestly, there is really no limits unless the high school you go to has strict rules. I used to dress up everyday for half of my freshman year but now towards the end I'm over here just wearing t-shirts and jeans with no makeup and messy hair. No one cares lol, so I just go with what's comfortable and dress up when I have the time and when I feel like it.

Also, in middle school I wore a significant amount of makeup and was always called out on it. In high school, no one really cares, and most of the freshman girls don't even know how to do makeup, so when you come in there with winged eyeliner or something they usually compliment you on it, even if it's not the best.

Just wear and do what makes you comfortable. My school doesn't really have a dress code but it's mixed with teenagers and adults that are their to get their credits for school (I go to a public charter school) so what my point is that high school doesn't really have a huge dress code so just wear what you want but still be appropriate

Okay! my dress code isn't strict makeup wise, but for hair it has to be a natural color and for clothes: shorts have to be finger tip length, nothing that shows shoulders, and we can't wear leggings
