Hello, I am looking to purchase a great sunscreen for sensitive skin? I have no idea which ones and how much spf is good for summer time? I don't necessarily wear sunscreen just those that come with makeup so any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

My job requires me to be outside most of the day and I live by Aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer on my face. It's spf 30, which is what you should look for in the summer. For the rest of my body I use Aveeno natural protection mineral block.

What are you sensitive to? Any ingredients specifically? I like Paula's choice products and haven't had problems with them for my sensitive acne prone skin - she has different SPF moisturizers for different skin types - all are fragrance free and have no parabens.

Oh Diana, thank you and I am just sensitive and acne prone also. It took me a long time for my skin to be stable and don't want to just use anything. I will look into that thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah that one is a good one too the clear face neutrogena sunscreen - it absorbs quickly and has a matte finish and super affordable

Well, Supergoop has a SPF50 setting spray. It can be reapplyed over makeup. I ordered it the other day and I'm suppose to receive it Wednesday. I go thru sunscreen like water so it was a no-brainer for me to try. SkinCeuticals has a great SPF line and I picked up a bottle of their fusion tinted SPF as well just today. I'll probably be testing both out this weekend and I'll make a post for both. Someone mentioned Aveeno and I have to second on that one. My husband uses it religiously (he uses nothing but Aveeno on his skin) and he has multiple skin issues.Neutrogena also has a super basic moisturizing SPF35 for sensitive skin that I've personally tried myself. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it did not work great with a few of my foundations (it either caused separation or just made the foundation look a lil off). Its truly a trial and error.

I went to the store and couldn't find the aveeno sunscreen. Would you mind taking a picture of it? I saw the neutrogena and didn't like the ingredients so hoping the aveeno is between since it is pretty much for sensitives.

Are you looking for a sunscreen in general towards your skin type or are you having issues with sunscreen feeling like it's burning on your skin?

Elta md. It was recommended to me during a facial last year and it's been my HG ever since. I had a bad reaction to EVERY sunscreen I'd tried on my face over the years. Apparently there are different types of spf (physical, mineral??) and you want one with zinc. I haven't used foundation since I picked up the tinted version (it's very sheer and I still use concealer :) and you can order it on Amazon..the one I use on a daily basis is called elta md pure and I believe it's spf 47, I use an spf 45 powder over top :) Shelley I would loooove to hear a review on this product from you! I know you're a sun protection fanatic and I really think you'd dig this stuff.

I wish I could Livi but hubs is out of the country and took his "manly supply bag" ( that what he calls it). He gets his from either Target and some Walgreens carry it.
@Maggie...I'm familiar with Elta MD. I have yet to get around to trying out the line myself...especially the sunscreen. I'm moving it to the top of my shopping list so I can review it. What SPF powder do you use? I use one from Colorescience. I tried one from Peter Thomas Roth but it didn't play well with my foundation.

Eucerin is the best!

Yay Shelley can't wait to hear what you think! And Livi when if you order keep in mind they have quite a few formulas for different skin types. Read reviews on Amazon to get an idea but the tinted one I have is very moisturizing. I think the clear version is more for oily and they have a tinted one for oily as well. I also use this bb cream if I'm feelin feisty lol or..just want more coverage. It's lovely and uses zinc but imo it's too expensive :/ however it's spf 50+

@ Shelley I use either of these. The skin79 is completely matte SPF 30 and the sulwhasoo has the slightest bit of shimmer SPF 47. I prefer the sulwhasoo even though I'm a matte girl!

Thanks so much Maggie. I prefer zinc or titanium dioxide. My skin does not like the other sunscreens like octixonate or however you spell so thank you so much. And it's available of Amazon which is PERFECT!!
